Token Points of Note
Token Technology
Most token offerings are ERC20 compliant and issued on the Ethereum network. Alternatives such
NEM, Stellar and other networks may provide you with advantages that can be assessed.
Distribution of Tokens
Typically 60%-80% of tokens are issued to the public and 20%-40% are reserved for advisers,
team, pre-ICO seed investors and contingencies. You may also wish to reserve 5% of tokens for
early market liquidity via a market sell & buy-back program.
Escrow
Tokens issued to key staff and advisers will typically be escrowed for 3-36 months.

Types of Tokens
Most offers are typically utility tokens, however tokens can structured to have any number of features
including (but not limited to):
● Development Tokens - that allow third-parties and the community to help identify and engage in
the development of new projects
● Platform tokens - this may allow third-party app developers to use your data and platform to
provide ancillary services
● Yield tokens - these may provide the right to a portion of future royalties
● Net asset backed token - these could be structured as net asset value tokens based on the
reported asset values and redeemable as projects mature (instead of paying out yield)
● Security tokens - these tokens have equity like features such as dividends or units in a managed
scheme or fund
