Swapsee-MHM Afterwork: Trends in HR by Joslyn FaustSwapsee
On March 6, 2014, Swapsee and Monday Happy Monday co-organized the afterwork: "Trends in Human Resources: The New Model Freelance, and how U.S. companies are maximizing the benefits of this crucial source of talent". Our two guest speakers Joslyn Faust, founder of Tower Lane Consulting, and Michael Wong, Project Manager at Hunsaker & Associates, joined the meeting via streaming from San Francisco. HR managers and specialists of Coca-Cola Madrid, Sanitas, Smith and Nephew, AENOR, Waki TV and Discovery Channel, among others, participated in the event. Special thanks to Col·legi d'Enginyers de Barcelona for letting us host it in their fantastic space Tecnoespai. This Power Point presentation is the one used by Joslyn Faust during the event.

Organic restaurants are becoming more popular as consumers focus more on health. GustOrganics opened in 2008 and was the first certified organic restaurant in New York, helping start the organic restaurant trend. Organic restaurants appeal to health-conscious customers but prices are higher due to organic food costs. For organic restaurants to succeed, they must prepare for growth, changing menus and prices, understand customers, and promote the benefits of organic food. The number of organic restaurants is expected to increase significantly by 2025 as organic food sales rise in restaurants and become more widely available.

The American automobile industry has gone through several periods of growth and decline since the 1890s. Ford pioneered mass production techniques in the early 1900s which reduced costs and made cars more affordable. General Motors became the largest automaker between the 1920s-1950s. The oil crisis of the 1970s hurt sales. The 2008 recession led to a crisis as sales declined and credit dried up, forcing bailouts of Chrysler and GM. The industry is now in recovery as consumer confidence and the economy have improved.
Harnessing mobile search in performance marketingIncubeta NMPi
