The Gresik government in Indonesia presented a civil administration service to help citizens more easily, quickly, and conveniently update their household registry data. Over 256,000 household cards had never been updated since 2008, with around 69% of households never updating their data. There were also issues like duplicate identities and anomalies in birth certification data for around 50% of citizens aged 0-18 who only had birth certificates. The government program aimed to help validate family card data and update household registries through outreach via radio, Facebook, SMS and more.
