Steelway has been operating for 85 years and manufactured pedestrian barriers for King George VI's coronation in 1937 that were later used for Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953. They have gained engineering expertise over the decades by working on notable projects such as James Bond films, the Thames Barrier, and Forth Bridge. Recently, Steelway took on eight apprentices to pass on their knowledge and ensure they can continue assisting with crowd control infrastructure if needed for future coronations.
