2. SOME HIGHLIGHTS – INTERNSHIPS PROMOTED BY
UNIVERSITY
University students can partecipate to 2 different type of internship.
Curricular Internship:
• Compulsory activity in some university courses
• Usually students are not payed for it
• From 1 week up to 12 months.
• Main goal is to activate knowledge you learned in University.
Post graduate Internship:
• Are eligible only post graduated students in the 12 months after
final exam
• Up to 6 months
• Company CAN pay students, but usually don’t.***

3. JOB MARKETS AND INTERNSHIP IN ITALY
An inquiry of 2010 on a sample of
3.000 stagiaires demonstrated that
on 100 internships only 21%
became a job opportunity and that:
• In 2,3% of cases was an open
ended contract
• in 5,6% was a fixed term contract
• in13,2% was an indipendend
contractor agreement (no social
safeguard)
