This document proposes the "Lock & Key Model, Your JOB-BERRY" project to address Pakistan's increasing youth unemployment rate of 6% per year. The project aims to develop an "Online Job Berry Network" platform that connects students, universities, and companies to share opportunities and resources. This platform would help bridge communication gaps that are contributing to unemployment. It would feature "Job Berry Sessions" in universities, an online "Job Berry TV" channel, automatic resume creation tools, and skills training to help students find internships and jobs. The student founders plan to initially involve over 15,000 students across two universities and recruit "Ambassadors" to expand the program. Their goal is to create a dynamic online network that acts
Unlocking the Potential of On-Demand Learning in the WorkplaceKip Michael Kelly

Through case examples, it will also provide training and development professionals with ideas about how to apply on-demand learning in their workplaces to meet strategic objectives and succeed in today‘s fast-paced global marketplace.
Charter schools offer diverse learning opportunities and instructional approaches, but as in mainstream schools, all students must have access to special education services, including speech-language therapy.

With the evolving education and training technological
environments, Learning & Development professionals may
see an advantage in shifting their thinking and consider changing their departments’ focus from a cost centre to a profit centre. By measuring in terms of a profit centre the industry would be able to better determine the ROI of their e-learning, which, according to Accenture research, is often in the 500% range.
As part of the AKQA Future Academy we were set the brief by a recognised high street bank to create a product or service that would define the student experience of tomorrow. This was in order to help the client capture a greater proportion of the student market. We pushed back on the clients understanding of a student and presented to them our product, UpSkill.
Elliot Felix was the keynote speaker at the 2019 SCUP Southern Symposium where he spoke about transforming the student experience in and out the classroom and online.

2. Experience and Discover
O It is unfortunate to write that the unemployment rate in Pakistan is
increasing at a startling rate of 6% per year in the last five years. There are
multiple reasons for Youth unemployment We have drawn conclusions by
going through the procedure of proper Survey in our departments, and
unfortunately the results themselves spoke the reason behind rising
unemployment and that is there is high gap of communication and other
resource sharing opportunities, among students, universities and companies
enabling youth unemployment rate to rise. Universities have got Digital
Libraries in, most of them are the place for bird’s nest.
O We are at 3rd year of our university, means we will be graduating in year 2014.
O 90 per cent of the graduates of year 2012 of our departments are still searching for jobs.
O We did a survey among our fellows from which we have drawn following conclusion:
- 90 per cent of the students have never attended any internship.
- 7 per cent have done internships.
- 3 per cent had never heard about the word, INTERNSHIP!
There is need to understand that we are lacking in finding proper KEY to unlock YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT.
Defective education system and dual standards of education is causing highly saturated numbers of unemployed individuals.
A Shocking & Alarming FACT!

Lock and Key Model says,
At a moment when unemployment rate is rising with 6% per year, Digital Libraries, Computers and
Labs which are easily available in universities can MAKE.IT.WORK! After going through all
research work, and deep analysis, “Lock & Key Model, Your Job Berry” is presented, which
aims to develop an “Online Job Berry Network” (OJBN), which will be acting like a house for
students, universities and companies/organization, uniting them mutually in a platform where
they can share opportunities, learning, and become one for collective progression, which is
highly missing situation in the current time, thus bridging the gap among them. OJBN will be a
complete house having many job berries providing wonderful opportunities not just for the
unemployed students, but in a creative way it will be promoting work of companies and
universities so that by mutual interaction and success, the mission of combating youth
unemployment can be achieved. It holds a series of implementation phases, for launching “Job
Berry Sessions in universities”, “Job Berry TV”, “Auto CV Makers”, “Skill Enrichment
Trainings”, etc for making it the best platform.
4. Planned Model:
Principle:
“Combating youth unemployment in Pakistan with combined
effect of building Online Job Berry Network, powered by multiple
initiatives bridging gap of communication and resource
development and sharing of opportunities between
students, universities and companies.”
5. Results & Outcomes!
O The team will be spending 10 hours per week time on implementing the solution.
O In the beginning the solution is going to reach Students of two universities in Pakistan, (names already mentioned in the beginning of
ppt), who are going to be in range of +15000.
O We have designed the idea of “Ambassador of Lock & Key Pakistan”, which will engage young people interested in spreading the
message of “Lock & Key Model for fighting Unemployment in Pakistan” in their schools and universities. There will be a proper
coordination of Lock & Key Team and the Ambassadors so that the idea can be implemented in many other schools, colleges and
universities.
O For the project nearly 50 young people will be engaged with the team to implement, check and monitor the idea being implemented in their
departments.
O There is going to be a massive change in mind sets of students who study at government universities (a large proportion of Pakistan’s
young people population study at government schools and university).
O Unfortunately many students are not aware of basic design of making a CV which brings a hurdle in way of getting job when such RAW
CV is sent to HR Department. The proposed solution is going to give indirect awareness to students regarding making a CV by enrolling
them in internships, enabling them have hands-on Practical Knowledge of their field, social networking, links and a lot more!
