Higher productivity, faster client response, improved mobility and access, savings from reduced storage space and printing costs, increased security of documents and files…The benefits of a paperless office are many. Yet surveys show that the legal profession is one of the most resistant to a paper-free or less-paper environment.
Converting your firm to a paperless operation is not as overwhelming or as complicated as you think. With the decline in paper usage along with rise in digital consumption and mobile devices, you’re already on your way without even trying. But you’ll need to formalize the processes.
Learn about essential tools, protocols, and workflows to start and maintain a paperless office. You will hear from one lawyer who took his firm paperless and the process the firm went through, and from another small-firm attorney, on best practices for naming and storing digital files so you can easily find and retrieve them. We’ll wrap up with must-have tools and applications for every paperless law office.

Last week, we released a new blog post where we interviewed Adestra’s HR team to find out how they approach Employer Branding online. All following on from our first blog post back in 2016 finding some great examples of Employer Brand Storytelling.
When we approached Dennis Publishing to see if we could have a similar interview with their staff regarding how they’re telling their story online, we were happy when they jumped at the chance to get involved.
So if you’re here now (which we know you are) and if you’re excited (how could you not be), look below to find out the Dennis approach!
After leaving high school, I joined the military as a means to get a “fresh start”. Well, it certainly worked. I ended up spending 10 years in the service and finishing my time with an amazong history and set of skills.
After a few years in, I really wanted to be a helicopter pilot, but wasn’t able to qualify because my vision wasn’t perfect (I hadn’t heard of Lasik then!). Instead, I joined the Army Special Forces. After about 2 years of the most incredibly difficult training, I came out the other side as David Corbaley, the Green Beret.
Our students come from such diverse careers and backgrounds. This booklet illustrates how they went from a random career to becoming a junior developer in 12 weeks and how they landed their dream jobs as junior developers.

Marketing is a Learning Experience
Great marketing has always been about trial and error and knowing when things are working and when they’re not. This has never been truer than it is now.
Now long ago, the most prominent voices in marketing were fresh out of school, just starting their careers, and making their own share of mistakes. Between then and now, what experiences turned them into the thought leaders they are today?
We asked five of these thought leaders to share with us their most transformative job experiences and what they learned. We hope you enjoy what they shared with us.
As always, fellow marketers, keep experimenting, keep learning, and keep improving!
- Joe Staples, CMO, Workfront

My Story of Getting into Tech By Gertrude Chilufya Westrin
Jobs search
1. Jobs Search
I have looked at many different jobs that I could possibly go into and have know decided Estate
Agency is the job that I would like to go into after university. However when I started looking for jobs
I didn’t know what I wanted to do but thought marketing would be the best as it related to my work
experience and the course. I started a log of different job searches I did and the stages I went
through to get to the decision of being an Estate Agent.
I first looked on numerous marketing jobs websites as shown below.
2. I decided to see Rachel Parkes about what the best step would be to get my long term goal of being
a property developer as shown above. She advised me to look at the Prospects website to see the
job descriptions and see which best suited my interests.
3.
4. I went back to Rachel Parkes a few weeks later and decided I would like to stay in Leeds and had an
idea of being an estate agent but wasn’t sure if there was any other jobs that would match my
previous work experience. After discussing all the options I decided to apply for Estate Agents jobs
on numerous jobs sights as shown below.
5. I applied for 20 Estate agent jobs but more were looking for previous experience so I decided to get
work experience with Dee Atkinson & Harrison while I was looking for a full time job
