1. Job Duties at Alden Camps
Employee Training/Management:
Trained new staff on dining room policies, and good customer service skills.
Monitored the dining area to ensure the best customer experience.
Devised strategies to advance procedures and performance in the workplace.
Effectively communicated with all staffs regarding new protocols.
Work As a Waitress:
Creating customer satisfaction was my main objective
Worked in a very fast pace environment
Made sure to be a great role model for my junior employees
Used clear communication skills, active listening, and learning to optimize my customer
service.
Inventory Management:
Developed ways to optimize inventory control procedures
Inspected the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages
Made sure product stock was adequate for all distribution channels and could cover direct
demand from customers
Preparing Wait Staff Schedules:
Made sure there was the correct amount of wait staff on duty given the projected guest
counts for each day. (Did this for a four-month span)
Figured out how to prepare the schedules according to wait staff start-dates and end-dates
to ensure we were equip for the service of our guests.
Configured schedules to fit the requested days off from the wait staff
I would personally pick up the shifts if there were any shortages to meet the demand of
customers and make sure they were getting optimal customer service.
Cabin Setup:
This was extra work I would volunteer to do before my waitress duties were in need.
My boss gave me a checklist of cleaning work, organizing, and setup for 18 cabins total. I was
also given check in dates for each cabin. To have the cabins ready upon guest arrival, I
budget my time, and produce a forecast schedule that was a dynamic model that reflected the
living and changing nature of my project at all times.
Cabin Prep list included:
Ironing curtains and hanging them
Properly making all beds with hospital corners
Setting up the bathrooms with all the amenities provided
Stocking wood in the cabins for the woodstoves
Checking if all light fixtures were working properly
2. Wedding Duties:
I was a part of 3 weddings hosted at Alden Camps.
My duties involved:
Meal preparation
Faced paced set up, but in an orderly, neat and creative fashion
Developed methods to progress prep times and clean up times to meet the desired
time frame
Exercised creativity to ensure the finest arrangements involving food, and decor
Displayed professionalism
