Class News
Jonathan Lim, 2012
I recently graduated with a Bachelor of
Psychological Sciences from The
University of Queensland. I’ve returned
to Brunei for the time being, planning to
work before thinking about postgraduate
study in Canada. In the meantime I’ve
been doing a lot of indoor climbing.
Sarah Safri, 2016
After graduating, I
decided to take a
gap year in Brunei.
I'm currently
working at JIS as a
Temporary
Humanities Faculty
Assistant. I am also
involved in facilitating the launch of the
JIS alumni group on LinkedIn, as well as
the JIS 20th anniversary event.
Ian Lim, 2011
Graduated from Loughborough
University with a Masters in Corporate
Finance and a degree in Accounting and
Financial Management. Currently
involved with the JIS Alumni Committee. I
spend my spare time at the Hybrid
movement gym or rock climbing. Looking
to go into the financial industry, and
teaching in the future.
Hafiz Damit, 2009
I work with the
family business at
the moment,
helping Bruneians
applying to study
with universities
overseas Not yet
married, and right
now I'm taking
care of a football
team which me and my friends started
when we were in JIS back in 2003. The
team is DSP United and this year we got
promoted into the local league.
Kish Nathan, 2016
After leaving JIS I'm
currently serving my
term in Singapore
under the Singapore
Army.
Iqbal Damit, 2001
Right now I sell
freshly squeezed
orange juice &
Australian
inspired kebab for
a living. I’m
blessed with a
beautiful wife and
an amazing son.
Since 2010, I have done a number of
charity & humanitarian projects locally
& abroad. The past 3 years I have done
humanitarian projects in Cambodia,
Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.
Justin Thomas, 2015
Currently, working
towards a double major
in Accounting and
Finance at Purdue
University, USA.
Graduating in May
2018, with future
prospects to sit for the
CPA exam licensed in
the state of New York.
Melissa Tan, 2011
I'm involved in the JIS alumni project! I
feel giving back to the school that has
given me so much is a great way to gain
experience.
Haafizhah Azizul, 2014
I am a gap year student from the
University of Nottingham. Throughout my
university years I have been playing an
active role as a student helper and
student ambassador for the university
especially during the open days. Right
now, I am back in Brunei building the
Alumni Activation Group project in JIS.
