Jindal Pipes Ltd. (JPL), the flagship company of the Jindal group was
incorporated in 1970 with an installed capacity of 30000 TPA for manufacture
of Steel Pipes & Tubes. Since then, the company has brought phenomenal
development in Pipe Manufacturing Process through many innovative
measures. Today, it has annual turnover of Approx. Rs. 1137 Crores in the
financial year 2012-13. Induction of sophisticated state-ofthe- art technical

8. OCTG Pipes

9. GI Pipes
Galvanised Iron (GI) Pipes are manufactured using mild steel strips of Low
Carbon Steel Coils. The strips are passed through a series of fin rolls to give
them a circular shape. The slit ends of the strips are then welded together by
continuously passing high frequency electric current across the edges. The
welded steel pipes are then passed through sizing sections where any
dimensional deviations are corrected. The pipes are then cut into desired
lengths by automatic cutting machines. The tubes are then pressure tested for
any leaks randomly. The galvanization and varnishing of pipes are done as per
specific requirements.
The GI Pipes are generally used for distribution of treated or raw water in rural

11. MS Pipes
MS Pipe and MS Tube refers to Mild Steel Pipe or a Mild Steel Tubes
Mild Steel (MS) pipes are manufactured using low carbon (less than 0.25%)
steel. Due to low carbon content the pipes do not harden and are easy to use.
As MS Pipes are made from mild steel they can easily be welded and formed in
various shapes and sizes for pipelining and tubing purposes. These are
generally used for drinking water supply i.e. Plumbing, Firefighting, HVAC but

13. ERW Pipes
ERW (Electrical Resistance Welding) pipes are manufactured by cold forming of
steel coil into a round cylindrical shape. In the initial times it was done with the
low frequency A.C. current to heat the edges. Now, since 1970 the low
frequency process changed to high frequency A.C. current to produce a higher
quality weld.
ERW pipes have various applications like fencing, line pipe, scaffolding etc.

18. 20" ERW Facility
MSL has diversified into manufacturing of large diameter ERW pipes from size
range 6" to 20" and wall thickness from 3.2mm to 16.00mm.
MSL's state-of-the-artERW Plant from MANNESMANN, Germany, is India's first

19. Casing Tubing

20. API Line Pipes
Line Pipe is steel pipe used for the transmission of Oil, Gas and Petroleum
Distillates. Line Pipes are manufactured as per specifications established by
American Petroleum Institute (API). API 5L is a specification of API which
defines the standard for the dimension, physical, mechanical and chemical
