Chapter 1 : Introduction
Industry profile :
The PVC pipes and fittings industry in India, which includes segments such as RPVC,
PVC, and CPVC pipes and fittings, has risen dramatically in recent years as a result of
increased demand from the irrigation sector.as a result of the growing population and the
unpredictable weather conditions in the area country. In India, the PVC pipe and fittings
business is largely fragmented. With a significant number of organized players in the
industry, there is severe competition. PVC manufacturers and distributors, both organized
and unstructured-in the country's pipes and fittings “Because of their cheaper cost and
greater durability, PVC pipes will eventually replace traditional piping systems on the
market. In the next five years, CPVC pipes are predicted to develop at the fastest rate in
terms of production capacity. The adoption of CPVC pipes over galvanized or PVC pipes
is increasing, which will contribute to future expansion. According to Ken Research's
Research Analyst, "with shifting preferences towards branded and quality items being
noticed in the domestic market, the organized segment of the market is anticipated to
grow at a quicker rate in the future years. "Polyvinyl-Chloride is the abbreviation for
Polyvinyl-Chloride. You can launch a small or medium scale PVC pipe manufacturing
business. Nowadays, PVC pipe is widely employed in the electrical, irrigation, and
construction industries. In a variety of applications, it successfully replaces wood, paper,
and metal. PVC pipes are widely used as electrical conduits in both domestic and
industrial settings. PVC pipes of various diameters are now more often used for water
supply. They're perfect for a variety of reasons. Lightweight, low cost, simple installation,
non-corrosiveness, strong tensile strength to sustain high fluid pressure are only a few of
the benefits. They are also resistant to the majority of chemicals.
Company profile:
2
After collecting 4 years of experience, Sanjivini Company created a partnership firm and
began manufacturing SANJIVINI PIPES AND FITTINGS PVT LTD.As a result of their
combined knowledge in the industry, the partners decided to expand their pipeline. In
2012, the manufacturing sector was the most active. They established a private limited
company (Pvt Ltd) with seven directors. Hemmady bought an industrial property in
Devalkunda and built five houses on it. Various industrial units, one for pipe manufacture
and the other for PVC molding Manufacturing of fittings is the third option, followed by
manually created bends, sockets, and other items. Rotomolded Water Tanks are the fourth

and Medical Benefits The Company is expanding vertically by introducing new
equipment and technologies, items based on market demand.
In today's world of fierce rivalry and globalization, marketing must employ the most
advanced and sophisticated strategies to win market share. Products in the Fast Moving
Consumer Goods (FMCG) and other industries that need to reach customers must first
reach dealers. Sanjivini pipes and fittings merchants play a critical role for the company,
as they purchase products in big quantities and assist in getting them to the final
consumer. The oldest fornication of channel is the dealership, which is frequently utilized
in the marketing of corporate products.

Chapter 2: Organizational profile
Background:
In today's globe, the growing need for pipes has resulted in the rise of many sorts of pipe
manufacturing industries. Pipes were initially developed in Europe around the 14th and
15th centuries. Then industrialized countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan,
and others began to manufacture PVC pipes. The availability of numerous types of raw
materials required in the construction of PVC pipes was challenging during the 14th and
15th centuries. As a result, countries that produce PVC pipes had to import these raw
materials from other countries. As a result, the output of PVC pipes was limited to those
countries alone; however, thanks to modernization and the industrial revolution, every
country can now obtain raw materials and rigid PVC pipes.
Nature of business carried:
• Provider of basic requirement of all PVC related fittings, pipes and allied products.
• Unstinted And continued supply and service since las seven years.
• Believer and promoter of quality products that giving simple propaganda.
• An entity who gave to its customers qualitative products and value added services.
• To have received the best appreciation from its people.
THE VISION:
Through customer attention, position Sanjivini pipes and fittings Pvt. Ltd as a global ball
joint provider. To maintain leadership in the domestic pipe market while also expanding
into new export markets.
5
THE MISSION:
Sanjiviniis the brand name of popular PVC pipes made by Sanjeevini pipe industries. The
company was started in 2009 by Mr. Mohammad Ali with young mechanical engineer.
The Sanjeevini pipe industry was commissioned with the objective of catering to the
agricultural needs of region. The major irritants in agricultural practices like lack of
rainfall, ground water lifting wear transport with in the fields has provided a magnificent
trust to PVC pipes market. This factor helps Sanjeevini pipes Pvt Ltd to record excellent
growth.
Pipes are sold under brand name SANJIVINI.
QUALITYPOLICY:
• To manufacture and market goods which comply with all the consumer requirements
• To achieve customer satisfaction is the basic philosophy of the organization
In the last few decades, unparalleled growth was witnessed in Sanjeevani Pipes and
fittings to emerge as a leader in the PVC fittings and to diversify into the manufacture of
such son, water tanks and PVC pipes. Sanjivani pipes and fittings is a company who has
an turnover of 20,00,00,000 per annum with the manpower strength of 450 employees
including 50 high caliber professionals.
6
Work flow model :
• PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT:
Because the firm's ultimate goal is to produce high-quality pipes, it follows a well-planned
and systematic procedure for carrying out its numerous production tasks. The
manufacture is completely automated, and it adds value to the product. Wastage has been
reduced as a result of the company's effective production procedure.as well as improved
product quality The manufacture of RIGID PVC PIPES goes through several stages from
the raw material stage to the finished product stage, through various processes.
The various stages of production are explained below ;
1.Raw material processing:
Raw materials are processed before being released for industrial activities. During this
step of raw material processing, the raw materials are batched, mixed, sieved, and then
added to the hopper for further processing. This can be illustrated with a diagram.
7
Purchased raw materials are kept in a godown set aside for that purpose. The godowns
are well-built and well-maintained. Because all of the raw materials are chemical in
nature, extra precautions are taken when storing them. So that their quality and quantity
do not deteriorate. To minimize risk, the company uses the first-purchased raw materials.
These warehouses are built in such a way that humidity, direct sunshine, rain water, rats,
and other factors have no influence on the raw materials.
A) Batching:
The initial step in the processing of raw materials is batching. Batching is
the process of classifying raw materials based on their quality and type.
Different materials necessitate varying degrees of batching. The batching is
carried out in accordance with the standards, with the lid closed for that
reason.
B) Mixing:
In this stage of raw material processing, mixing is the next step. PVC RESIN is combined
with various raw ingredients such as Calcium Carbonate, Titanium-Di-Oxide, Lead
Sulphide, Tribasic Sulphide, Calcium Sterate, Lead sterate, Steric Acid, High Carbon
Wax, and Emory Oil at a temperature of 1000°C.This process continues until the entire
chemical has thoroughly combined with the PVC RESIN.A high-powered mixer is used
to combine the ingredients. Because different brands of pipe require different
combinations of raw material mixing, the mixer of raw materials against depends on the
brand and quality of the pipes to be created. Even a minor variation in the method of
mixing raw materials has an impact on the pipe's quality and structure. As a result, mixer
operators must be well-versed in this step of raw material processing.
C) Sieving:
Sieving is the third important step in the raw material processing process. Sieving is the
removal or separation of specific solids, coarse materials, contaminants, and dust from raw
materials. combinations using perforated or mesh tools. Sieving raw materials is crucial
because if it is not done at the start, it will not only affect the quality of the pipes
8
produced, but it will also cause some disruption in the manufacturing process. Sieving is
done in a huge machine to ensure that all materials are random captured. The sieving is
carried out in a separate room that has been set aside for that purpose.
Sieving can be divided into two categories:
i) Ordinary Sieving:
Ordinary sieving of raw material mixtures is carried out when contaminants can
be easily removed using perforated or meshing devices.
ii) Magnetic Sieving:
In some circumstances, the raw material mixture contains metallic impurities such
as micro metallic dust that cannot be separated by standard sieving. In these cases,
magnetic sieving is used. A high-powered magnet is sent through the raw
materials combination during magnetic sieving, attracting all metallic impurities
to the magnet and separating them.
D)Hopper:
After the raw materials have been mixed and sieved, they are placed in the hopper
A Hopper is a container that tapers downhill to an aperture extrusion that allows the
contents to be discharged. The extrusion process is then followed by the following step in
the manufacturing process.
2. Extrusion:
In this operation, the mixture sent from the mixer, along with any coloring additives, is
heated to a very high temperature (200–250°F) in the kiln. As a result, the raw ingredients
melt. The molten raw materials are subsequently poured into the container and forced
down by the plunger's inward movement. After passing through the container's ultra-
small aperture, the molten metal solidifies into a pipe. The pipe has a variable diameter
that may be adjusted to meet the needs of the production. The pipe that emerges from the
container then moves on to the next process, which involves cooling to lower the
temperature.
9
3. Cooling:
The pipes exiting the container are routed through a Walter bath that is kept at a
temperature of 6-7 degrees Celsius. The pipes are cooled to provide the necessary
hardness. The pipes are cooled to give them the necessary hardness. A other medium,
such as oil, can be used for cooling. The type of cooling media to use is determined by
the amount of hardness that the pipe requires. The cooling process in this medium is on a
continuous basis, which means that it continues while the pipes pass through the water
bath.
4. Stretching:
In this step, the cooled pipes are stretched as far as they can go in order to maintain a
suitable shape and reinforce the pipe. If any additional adjustments are needed, the pipes
are stretched in hot water until the desired result is achieved. The temperature throughout
the stretching operation is kept between 270 and 280 degrees Celsius. Because the bath's
controls are automated, the temperature may be adjusted to match the qualities necessary
in the pipes.
5. Cutting:
The pipes that have been stretched are automatically cut to a standard length of 6 meters
in this step.
6. Coupling:
In this step, both ends of the pipes are carved in such a way that the couplings may
connect them. The pipes are then forwarded for serving bounding when this operation is
completed.

There are the many subordinates who support the production executive. Operators are
classed according to the work they undertake during the manufacturing process. The
quantity and kind of operators necessary are determined by the stages of production and
the level of competence required at each stage. Because all of the company's machines
are either automatic or semi-automatic, skilled labour isn't required.
The following is a list of plant operators' classifications:-
i) Machine Operators:

16
CHAPTER 3: Mickencys 7s framework
INTRODUCTION:
Mekensy’s and Company created the 7S paradigm for management analysis.
This model is useful for analyzing an organization in terms of the dynamic relationship
between seven main elements: structure, skill, strategy, system, staff, and shared value.
Richard Pascal identified these factors in his book the art Japanese management
according to Pascal it was because of these factors the Japanese companies excelled over
American firms. A very important feature of
this model is that McKinsey’s consultants in their studies of several firms have
extensively tested it.
This model is an excellent tool for managers to use when researching companies. This
research is significant from the perspectives of strategy, marketing, organizational
behavior, and competition. Many performance related concerns are based among the
seven criteria outlined, according to one of the model's main assumptions. In a high-
performing organization, the 7S are interconnected, aligned, and cooperative.
17
1. STRUCTURE:
The structure of Sanjivani Ltd is as follows
• DIRECTOR
He looks after the overall management of all departments and here he takes the
responsibility of getting the investment into the firm.
• Finance department
He looks after every transactions in industry and meetings very proper record regarding
every activity
• Production department
This department looks after the production processes and meeting the demand on time
• Marketing department
This department indulgence in activity of marketing the products of Sanjeevani
18
SYSTEM:
Systems at the processes and procedures of the company which reveal business daily
activities and how decisions are made. System are the area of the firm that determines
how business is done and it should be the main focus for managers during the
organisational change.
• Here the machinery is placed in the industrial area as because the PVC manufacturing
industry produces a heavy noise and smell so industry always decides to have the
manufacturing unit of the locality
• Departments are connected through other departments like production, production work
shop, production price shop, quality these are connected with store departments especially
quality depends on the production department.
• System include the formal and informal procedure that govern every Day activity
covering everything from MIS through the system at the point of contact with the
customer
SKILL:
Skills are the abilities that the firms employees perform very well. They also include
capabilities and competencies. During the organisational change, the question of an arises
of what skills the company will really need to reinforce its new strategy or new structure.
Here the skills are given more importance as this work is a skill-based sector
. So, the employees choose and are trained according their skills and the new employees
are analyzed with their strengths and weakness and those weakness are concentrated more
to make them an officiant employee
Sanjeevani pipes and fittings Private Limited have their employs scheduled and divided
into two categories:
19
• Employees focus on the production activities and in other words they can be called as
blue collar employees
• Employees focused on machinery maintenance that is the technical skilled employees
with work experience
• And employees who are responsible to look after them finance department.
STAFF :
Staff element is concerned with what type and how many employees and organization
will need and how they will be recruited, trained, motivated and rewarded.
• The job and the responsibility have to be assigned according to their skills and experience.
• The staff motivated to company employees for reaching the target production and provide
rewards to them.
The company has to level of employees
• Low-level employees with a salary of 6000 to 7000
• Higher level employees with a salary of 12,000 to 15,000 (Salaries decided on their work
experience)
• Area of training:
As in PVC industry the employees are supposed to give on-the-job training so based on
their qualification and skills it is decided that they are to be in production team or
technical team and later they are trained
• Qualification:
• The low-level employees need no more specific qualification as they deal with missionary
and necessary training is being provided
• The next level employees need to be mechanical engineer or diploma course.
20
Safety:
• As safety of employees are given main importance. Here as it is completely the on
machine work company provides the insurance of a coverage 1,50,000 for each and every
blue-collar employee.
• This company provides 50% of employees share and 50% employers share to PF
contribution(15% of salary )
Employees record:
• The login of each and every employee are registered by the company
• The company has biometric in order to store the employees record or can be said as
attendance
STYLE:
I have noticed a democratic leadership styled Sanjivini pipes and fittings Ltd because Mr.
Muhammad Ali director takes the decisions after considering the feedback and views of
all the Employees and he even considers their valuable suggestions to.
SHARED VALUES:
Sanjeevani fives and fittings has never compromised with its quality as even the
competitors make changes in quality to earn profit but Sanjeevani pipes and fittings have
never compromised with its quality.
STRATEGY:
Sanjeevani have mainly concentrated on pricing and quality strategy. Company has a low
price with a good quality so, we can say that they are following these strategy.
21
PORTERS FIVE FORCE MODEL
In 1979, Harvard business school professor Michael E Porter developed the Porter Five
Forces framework for industry analysis and corporate strategy creation. It uses industrial
organization economics to derive five forces that remind us of the competitive intensity
and thus attractiveness of the market. In this context, attractiveness refers to overall
industry profitability. And an appealing industry is one in which the five forces work
together to reduce total profitability.
The five forces are ;
• The threat of entry of new competitors.
• The threat of substitute products or services.
• The bargaining power of consumers.
• The bargaining power of suppliers.
• The intensity of competitive rivalry.
During the organisational study undertaken in Sanjeevani pipes and limited, the
information collected regarding its competitors, products, the bargaining power of
customers and the suppliers and the intensity of competitors rivalry has been analyzed
using the porters five forces model and it is as follows:
1.The threat of the entry of new competitors:
Profitable marketplaces with high returns will draw in new businesses. This attracts a
large number of new entrants, lowering profitability for all firms in the industry. Unless
new entrants can be deterred by incumbent , the abnormal profit rate will tend to zero.
• Rainbow pipes
• Varuna piping system
• Sunrise PVC pipes
• Saraswathi pipe industries
• Shakti plastics
• Balaji pipes
• Srikrishna pipe
22
2.The threat of substitute products or services:
When the price of the alternative product declines, it is easy for consumers to migrate
from one substitute product to another, or when buyers are willing to substitute, the threat
of substitution is significant. Sanjeevani 57 fittings are plumping equipment made of
materials like PVC pipes, SWR fittings, and PVC water tanks, among others. Sanjivini
Fittings is the districts leading manufacturer of means fittings. Sanjeevani fives and
fittings are manufactured from the finest grade of PVC resins trusted and acclaimed all
over the country for quality. Due to the high tensile strength and reliability used in
industry, homes etc. Sanjeevani pipes and fittings are available in about 10 shapes and
measures vary from 20 MM to 200 MM.
The development of PVC pipes and all type of plastic fittings and equipment all over the
world is by using the Organochlorine in called Poly vinyl chloride (pvc) Sanjeevani is
also developing all type of pipe products rigid pipes flexible homes et cetera using the
same organochlorine PVC. The competitors are also using the same technology. So there
is no substitute products made from other organochlorine the plastic products are all made
from the same organochlorine PVC.
3. The bargaining power of customers:
The buyers or customers can exert influence and control over us and industry. This
happens when
• There is little differentiation over the product and substitutes can be found easily
• Customers are sensitive to price
• Switching to another product is not costly
Nowadays customers have the buying power and they have the choice in the market to
choose the product what they want. When Sanjivani begin the production and marketing
of flexible hoses under the brand name Sanjeevani before that sunrise five scheme with
soft PVC garden hoses and it has a good name in Munger customers and has a good
market also. When such when you came with a flexible horse as it is difficult to market
the product. But while comparing to other companies product, Sanjeevini have good
standards and also I have the ISI certification and the product flexible hose is for both
23
domestic and industrial use. This made Sanjeev need to gain supremacy of the products
over all the other products, market ascendancy was not difficult .The customers of
Sanjivani are satisfied with their products. They continue to use the product and will
purchase them in future. Quality is the main factor that helps Sanjeev need to compete
with other brands. Advertisements were done in print media only.
4. The bargaining power of suppliers:
Suppliers are also essential for the success of an organization. From materials are needed
to complete the finished product of the organization. Suppliers do you have power. This
power comes from
• If they are the only supplier or one of the few suppliers of supply that particular Raw
material
• If it Costly for the organization to move from one supplier to another(Known as switching
cost)
• If there is no other substitute for their product
Sanjivini pipes have suppliers all over South India. Sanjeevani pipes concentrates their
market in India mostly in southern region. Sanjivini Can market their product very
smoothly through the market segmentation. The company is selling their products by
dividing the market state wise. The company concentrates in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil
Nadu.
1. The intensity of competitive rivalry:
If entry to an industry is easy then competitive rivalry will be likely to be high. If it is easy
for customers to move to substitute products for example from Coke to water then Again
rivalry will be high. Generally the competitive rivalry will be highly if
• There is little differentiation between the products sold between customers.
• Competitors are approximately the same size of each other.
• If the competitors all have same strategies.
• If it is costly to leave the industry has they fight to just stay in.
24
In India the PVC industry is going through high competitive rivalry. As too many
organizations are coming to PVC pipes and fittings manufacturing industry yearly, the
competition is also becoming higher. In the last one decade unparalleled growth was
witnessed in Sanjeevani company. The company’s operation includes manufacturing of
PVC fittings and alloy products in clearly defined core business areas at home and
industries.
Strategies persuaded by Sanjeevini PVC is
• Produces good quality product.
• Makes use of modern techniques for production to meet the demand .
• Assigning the targets to each store manager and as such rewarding them with the
attractive prices.
• Every day feedbacks are taken.
The value which exists in Sanjivini pipes
• No discrimination for race, religion, decision making and actions.
• To develop a sense of respect for oneself in others mind.
• Discipline is given great importance.
These all help them to overcome The intensity of competitive rivalry in the PVC pipes

RATIO ANALYSIS
Ratio analysis is a quantitative method of gaining insight into a company’s
liquidity, Operational efficiency and profitability by comparing information
contained in its financial statements.
The Purpose and Importance of Ratio:
It is to evaluate or analyze the performance of the firm in term of risk,
profitability, solvency and efficiency. It helps us to compare the trends of
two or more company over a period of time.
1) Current Ratio:
The current ratio is financial ratio that measurement whether or not firm
has enough resources to pay its debts overthe next 12 months. It compares
a firm asset to its current liabilities.
Current Ratio = Current Assets / Current Liabilities
2018 - 2019 = 100875592 / 95705947 = 1.0540
2019 - 2020 = 109338290 / 101215958 = 1.0802
It is inferred that current ratio in the year 2020 indicate a little raise in
liquidity position, because it is increased as compared to the year 2019,
reason for this increase is current asset like cash in hand , cash at bank
increased in the year 2020.
30
2) Quick Ratio:
Quick ratio establishes a relationship between quick or liquid assets
and current liabilities. An Assetis said to beliquid if it can beconverted
into cash immediately.
Liquid assets include cash, debtor, marketable securities and Bills
receivables.
Quick Ratio = Quick Assets (current asset – inventories) / Current
Liabilities.
2020 - 2019 = 100875592 – 28802114 = 72073476
2021 - 2020 = 109338290 – 18939579 = 90398771
3) Quick Ratio =
2018 – 2019 = 72073476 / 95705947 = 0.7530
2019 – 2020 = 90398771 / 101215958 = 0.8931
The quick ratio in the year 2018-19 was 0.7530 and in the year 2019-20 was
0.8931, Compared to previous year it has been increased.
4) Current Asset Ratio:
This measures a company’s ability to pay short-term obligation orthose
due within one year.
Current Asset = Current Asset / Fixed Asset
2022 – 2019 = 100875592 / 53689506 = 1.8788
2023 – 2020 = 109338290 / 45259842 = 2.4157
It is inferred that ratio of current asset to fixed asset is increased from the
year
31
2019-2020, due to increase in the current as well as fixed assets compare to
previous year.
32
LEARNING EXPERIENCE
This is the first time I've worked on a project in the Sanjivini pipes and fittings,
manufacturing industry. In some ways, this is a great experience. The main goal was to
put what I had learned theoretically in our management course into practice. Some of the
characteristics that I prefer to emphasize are listed below:
I learned enough about human resource management .I came to know that how they will
be collecting, locating and effective realizing the human resource in the organization, and
finance as well as a marketing strategy and present scenario of the industry.
I learned about the manufacturing process, funding, and other aspects of the industry.
Investigate the nature and history of Sanjivini pipes and fittings. , I researched industry
performance, commerce, and industry structure. I learned about the history of pvc in my
country as well as on a global scale. And investigated how external factors affect the
business of Sanjivini pipes and fittings

  • 8. 1 Chapter 1 : Introduction Industry profile : The PVC pipes and fittings industry in India, which includes segments such as RPVC, PVC, and CPVC pipes and fittings, has risen dramatically in recent years as a result of increased demand from the irrigation sector.as a result of the growing population and the unpredictable weather conditions in the area country. In India, the PVC pipe and fittings business is largely fragmented. With a significant number of organized players in the industry, there is severe competition. PVC manufacturers and distributors, both organized and unstructured-in the country's pipes and fittings “Because of their cheaper cost and greater durability, PVC pipes will eventually replace traditional piping systems on the market. In the next five years, CPVC pipes are predicted to develop at the fastest rate in terms of production capacity. The adoption of CPVC pipes over galvanized or PVC pipes is increasing, which will contribute to future expansion. According to Ken Research's Research Analyst, "with shifting preferences towards branded and quality items being noticed in the domestic market, the organized segment of the market is anticipated to grow at a quicker rate in the future years. "Polyvinyl-Chloride is the abbreviation for Polyvinyl-Chloride. You can launch a small or medium scale PVC pipe manufacturing business. Nowadays, PVC pipe is widely employed in the electrical, irrigation, and construction industries. In a variety of applications, it successfully replaces wood, paper, and metal. PVC pipes are widely used as electrical conduits in both domestic and industrial settings. PVC pipes of various diameters are now more often used for water supply. They're perfect for a variety of reasons. Lightweight, low cost, simple installation, non-corrosiveness, strong tensile strength to sustain high fluid pressure are only a few of the benefits. They are also resistant to the majority of chemicals. Company profile:
  • 9. 2 After collecting 4 years of experience, Sanjivini Company created a partnership firm and began manufacturing SANJIVINI PIPES AND FITTINGS PVT LTD.As a result of their combined knowledge in the industry, the partners decided to expand their pipeline. In 2012, the manufacturing sector was the most active. They established a private limited company (Pvt Ltd) with seven directors. Hemmady bought an industrial property in Devalkunda and built five houses on it. Various industrial units, one for pipe manufacture and the other for PVC molding Manufacturing of fittings is the third option, followed by manually created bends, sockets, and other items. Rotomolded Water Tanks are the fourth and Fishnet Floats are the fifth. To research the firm's marketing strategies; and to comprehend the firm's distribution channels.
  • 11. 4 Chapter 2: Organizational profile Background: In today's globe, the growing need for pipes has resulted in the rise of many sorts of pipe manufacturing industries. Pipes were initially developed in Europe around the 14th and 15th centuries. Then industrialized countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan, and others began to manufacture PVC pipes. The availability of numerous types of raw materials required in the construction of PVC pipes was challenging during the 14th and 15th centuries. As a result, countries that produce PVC pipes had to import these raw materials from other countries. As a result, the output of PVC pipes was limited to those countries alone; however, thanks to modernization and the industrial revolution, every country can now obtain raw materials and rigid PVC pipes. Nature of business carried: • Provider of basic requirement of all PVC related fittings, pipes and allied products. • Unstinted And continued supply and service since las seven years. • Believer and promoter of quality products that giving simple propaganda. • An entity who gave to its customers qualitative products and value added services. • To have received the best appreciation from its people. THE VISION: Through customer attention, position Sanjivini pipes and fittings Pvt. Ltd as a global ball joint provider. To maintain leadership in the domestic pipe market while also expanding into new export markets.
  • 12. 5 THE MISSION: Sanjiviniis the brand name of popular PVC pipes made by Sanjeevini pipe industries. The company was started in 2009 by Mr. Mohammad Ali with young mechanical engineer. The Sanjeevini pipe industry was commissioned with the objective of catering to the agricultural needs of region. The major irritants in agricultural practices like lack of rainfall, ground water lifting wear transport with in the fields has provided a magnificent trust to PVC pipes market. This factor helps Sanjeevini pipes Pvt Ltd to record excellent growth. Pipes are sold under brand name SANJIVINI. QUALITYPOLICY: • To manufacture and market goods which comply with all the consumer requirements • To achieve customer satisfaction is the basic philosophy of the organization In the last few decades, unparalleled growth was witnessed in Sanjeevani Pipes and fittings to emerge as a leader in the PVC fittings and to diversify into the manufacture of such son, water tanks and PVC pipes. Sanjivani pipes and fittings is a company who has an turnover of 20,00,00,000 per annum with the manpower strength of 450 employees including 50 high caliber professionals.
  • 13. 6 Work flow model : • PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT: Because the firm's ultimate goal is to produce high-quality pipes, it follows a well-planned and systematic procedure for carrying out its numerous production tasks. The manufacture is completely automated, and it adds value to the product. Wastage has been reduced as a result of the company's effective production procedure.as well as improved product quality The manufacture of RIGID PVC PIPES goes through several stages from the raw material stage to the finished product stage, through various processes. The various stages of production are explained below ; 1.Raw material processing: Raw materials are processed before being released for industrial activities. During this step of raw material processing, the raw materials are batched, mixed, sieved, and then added to the hopper for further processing. This can be illustrated with a diagram.
  • 14. 7 Purchased raw materials are kept in a godown set aside for that purpose. The godowns are well-built and well-maintained. Because all of the raw materials are chemical in nature, extra precautions are taken when storing them. So that their quality and quantity do not deteriorate. To minimize risk, the company uses the first-purchased raw materials. These warehouses are built in such a way that humidity, direct sunshine, rain water, rats, and other factors have no influence on the raw materials. A) Batching: The initial step in the processing of raw materials is batching. Batching is the process of classifying raw materials based on their quality and type. Different materials necessitate varying degrees of batching. The batching is carried out in accordance with the standards, with the lid closed for that reason. B) Mixing: In this stage of raw material processing, mixing is the next step. PVC RESIN is combined with various raw ingredients such as Calcium Carbonate, Titanium-Di-Oxide, Lead Sulphide, Tribasic Sulphide, Calcium Sterate, Lead sterate, Steric Acid, High Carbon Wax, and Emory Oil at a temperature of 1000°C.This process continues until the entire chemical has thoroughly combined with the PVC RESIN.A high-powered mixer is used to combine the ingredients. Because different brands of pipe require different combinations of raw material mixing, the mixer of raw materials against depends on the brand and quality of the pipes to be created. Even a minor variation in the method of mixing raw materials has an impact on the pipe's quality and structure. As a result, mixer operators must be well-versed in this step of raw material processing. C) Sieving: Sieving is the third important step in the raw material processing process. Sieving is the removal or separation of specific solids, coarse materials, contaminants, and dust from raw materials. combinations using perforated or mesh tools. Sieving raw materials is crucial because if it is not done at the start, it will not only affect the quality of the pipes
  • 15. 8 produced, but it will also cause some disruption in the manufacturing process. Sieving is done in a huge machine to ensure that all materials are random captured. The sieving is carried out in a separate room that has been set aside for that purpose. Sieving can be divided into two categories: i) Ordinary Sieving: Ordinary sieving of raw material mixtures is carried out when contaminants can be easily removed using perforated or meshing devices. ii) Magnetic Sieving: In some circumstances, the raw material mixture contains metallic impurities such as micro metallic dust that cannot be separated by standard sieving. In these cases, magnetic sieving is used. A high-powered magnet is sent through the raw materials combination during magnetic sieving, attracting all metallic impurities to the magnet and separating them. D)Hopper: After the raw materials have been mixed and sieved, they are placed in the hopper A Hopper is a container that tapers downhill to an aperture extrusion that allows the contents to be discharged. The extrusion process is then followed by the following step in the manufacturing process. 2. Extrusion: In this operation, the mixture sent from the mixer, along with any coloring additives, is heated to a very high temperature (200–250°F) in the kiln. As a result, the raw ingredients melt. The molten raw materials are subsequently poured into the container and forced down by the plunger's inward movement. After passing through the container's ultra- small aperture, the molten metal solidifies into a pipe. The pipe has a variable diameter that may be adjusted to meet the needs of the production. The pipe that emerges from the container then moves on to the next process, which involves cooling to lower the temperature.
  • 16. 9 3. Cooling: The pipes exiting the container are routed through a Walter bath that is kept at a temperature of 6-7 degrees Celsius. The pipes are cooled to provide the necessary hardness. The pipes are cooled to give them the necessary hardness. A other medium, such as oil, can be used for cooling. The type of cooling media to use is determined by the amount of hardness that the pipe requires. The cooling process in this medium is on a continuous basis, which means that it continues while the pipes pass through the water bath. 4. Stretching: In this step, the cooled pipes are stretched as far as they can go in order to maintain a suitable shape and reinforce the pipe. If any additional adjustments are needed, the pipes are stretched in hot water until the desired result is achieved. The temperature throughout the stretching operation is kept between 270 and 280 degrees Celsius. Because the bath's controls are automated, the temperature may be adjusted to match the qualities necessary in the pipes. 5. Cutting: The pipes that have been stretched are automatically cut to a standard length of 6 meters in this step. 6. Coupling: In this step, both ends of the pipes are carved in such a way that the couplings may connect them. The pipes are then forwarded for serving bounding when this operation is completed.

Operators are classed according to the work they undertake during the manufacturing process. The quantity and kind of operators necessary are determined by the stages of production and the level of competence required at each stage. Because all of the company's machines are either automatic or semi-automatic, skilled labour isn't required. The following is a list of plant operators' classifications:- i) Machine Operators: He is responsible for the operation of the many machines that are used in the manufacturing process. Because all of the machinery are fully or semi-automated, semi- skilled or unskilled laborer’s might be assigned here. ii) Mending Operator: He is in charge of batching and mixing the raw materials used in the manufacturing process. Because different grade pipes require varied degrees of batching and mixing of raw materials, even a minor change in raw material composition influences the production process. Hence the mending operator should be extras careful in his work. Hence only skilled laborer’s are appointed for batching and mixing purpose. iii) Quality Control Operators:

  • 23. 16 CHAPTER 3: Mickencys 7s framework INTRODUCTION: Mekensy’s and Company created the 7S paradigm for management analysis. This model is useful for analyzing an organization in terms of the dynamic relationship between seven main elements: structure, skill, strategy, system, staff, and shared value. Richard Pascal identified these factors in his book the art Japanese management according to Pascal it was because of these factors the Japanese companies excelled over American firms. A very important feature of this model is that McKinsey’s consultants in their studies of several firms have extensively tested it. This model is an excellent tool for managers to use when researching companies. This research is significant from the perspectives of strategy, marketing, organizational behavior, and competition. Many performance related concerns are based among the seven criteria outlined, according to one of the model's main assumptions. In a high- performing organization, the 7S are interconnected, aligned, and cooperative.
  • 24. 17 1. STRUCTURE: The structure of Sanjivani Ltd is as follows • DIRECTOR He looks after the overall management of all departments and here he takes the responsibility of getting the investment into the firm. • Finance department He looks after every transactions in industry and meetings very proper record regarding every activity • Production department This department looks after the production processes and meeting the demand on time • Marketing department This department indulgence in activity of marketing the products of Sanjeevani
  • 25. 18 SYSTEM: Systems at the processes and procedures of the company which reveal business daily activities and how decisions are made. System are the area of the firm that determines how business is done and it should be the main focus for managers during the organisational change. • Here the machinery is placed in the industrial area as because the PVC manufacturing industry produces a heavy noise and smell so industry always decides to have the manufacturing unit of the locality • Departments are connected through other departments like production, production work shop, production price shop, quality these are connected with store departments especially quality depends on the production department. • System include the formal and informal procedure that govern every Day activity covering everything from MIS through the system at the point of contact with the customer SKILL: Skills are the abilities that the firms employees perform very well. They also include capabilities and competencies. During the organisational change, the question of an arises of what skills the company will really need to reinforce its new strategy or new structure. Here the skills are given more importance as this work is a skill-based sector . So, the employees choose and are trained according their skills and the new employees are analyzed with their strengths and weakness and those weakness are concentrated more to make them an officiant employee Sanjeevani pipes and fittings Private Limited have their employs scheduled and divided into two categories:
  • 26. 19 • Employees focus on the production activities and in other words they can be called as blue collar employees • Employees focused on machinery maintenance that is the technical skilled employees with work experience • And employees who are responsible to look after them finance department. STAFF : Staff element is concerned with what type and how many employees and organization will need and how they will be recruited, trained, motivated and rewarded. • The job and the responsibility have to be assigned according to their skills and experience. • The staff motivated to company employees for reaching the target production and provide rewards to them. The company has to level of employees • Low-level employees with a salary of 6000 to 7000 • Higher level employees with a salary of 12,000 to 15,000 (Salaries decided on their work experience) • Area of training: As in PVC industry the employees are supposed to give on-the-job training so based on their qualification and skills it is decided that they are to be in production team or technical team and later they are trained • Qualification: • The low-level employees need no more specific qualification as they deal with missionary and necessary training is being provided • The next level employees need to be mechanical engineer or diploma course.
  • 27. 20 Safety: • As safety of employees are given main importance. Here as it is completely the on machine work company provides the insurance of a coverage 1,50,000 for each and every blue-collar employee. • This company provides 50% of employees share and 50% employers share to PF contribution(15% of salary ) Employees record: • The login of each and every employee are registered by the company • The company has biometric in order to store the employees record or can be said as attendance STYLE: I have noticed a democratic leadership styled Sanjivini pipes and fittings Ltd because Mr. Muhammad Ali director takes the decisions after considering the feedback and views of all the Employees and he even considers their valuable suggestions to. SHARED VALUES: Sanjeevani fives and fittings has never compromised with its quality as even the competitors make changes in quality to earn profit but Sanjeevani pipes and fittings have never compromised with its quality. STRATEGY: Sanjeevani have mainly concentrated on pricing and quality strategy. Company has a low price with a good quality so, we can say that they are following these strategy.
  • 28. 21 PORTERS FIVE FORCE MODEL In 1979, Harvard business school professor Michael E Porter developed the Porter Five Forces framework for industry analysis and corporate strategy creation. It uses industrial organization economics to derive five forces that remind us of the competitive intensity and thus attractiveness of the market. In this context, attractiveness refers to overall industry profitability. And an appealing industry is one in which the five forces work together to reduce total profitability. The five forces are ; • The threat of entry of new competitors. • The threat of substitute products or services. • The bargaining power of consumers. • The bargaining power of suppliers. • The intensity of competitive rivalry. During the organisational study undertaken in Sanjeevani pipes and limited, the information collected regarding its competitors, products, the bargaining power of customers and the suppliers and the intensity of competitors rivalry has been analyzed using the porters five forces model and it is as follows: 1.The threat of the entry of new competitors: Profitable marketplaces with high returns will draw in new businesses. This attracts a large number of new entrants, lowering profitability for all firms in the industry. Unless new entrants can be deterred by incumbent , the abnormal profit rate will tend to zero. • Rainbow pipes • Varuna piping system • Sunrise PVC pipes • Saraswathi pipe industries • Shakti plastics • Balaji pipes • Srikrishna pipe
  • 29. 22 2.The threat of substitute products or services: When the price of the alternative product declines, it is easy for consumers to migrate from one substitute product to another, or when buyers are willing to substitute, the threat of substitution is significant. Sanjeevani 57 fittings are plumping equipment made of materials like PVC pipes, SWR fittings, and PVC water tanks, among others. Sanjivini Fittings is the districts leading manufacturer of means fittings. Sanjeevani fives and fittings are manufactured from the finest grade of PVC resins trusted and acclaimed all over the country for quality. Due to the high tensile strength and reliability used in industry, homes etc. Sanjeevani pipes and fittings are available in about 10 shapes and measures vary from 20 MM to 200 MM. The development of PVC pipes and all type of plastic fittings and equipment all over the world is by using the Organochlorine in called Poly vinyl chloride (pvc) Sanjeevani is also developing all type of pipe products rigid pipes flexible homes et cetera using the same organochlorine PVC.
