Personal Statement

I am a self-empowered lifelong learner, creative
problem-solver and hopeful inspirer of those who
wish to empower themselves. As an individual
who has successfully overcome many deeply
ingrained negative patterns in my own life, a
former residential counselor, and a newly
graduated student with a bachelors degree in
psychology, I believe I offer a valuable
perspective which will benefit those in my field.
With my experience I plan to pursue a career as a
chemical-dependency counselor and perhaps in
the future open my own rehabilitation facility.
