Jenny Packham is a fashion
designer from Britain,
primarily known for her
prêt-a-porter
collections and
bridal gowns.
About Jenny..
 Jenny went to Southampton Solent
University to study fashion,
before attaining first class honors
from Saint Martin’s School of Art.
 After her education, she founded
the Jenny Packham company in
1988, that designed evening and
bridal wear.
 Her early textile and apparel design
training influenced her evening wear to a
great extent.
 In 1992 Her debut collection was of
twelve short gowns in white
and black silk, decorated with
musical instrument prints.
 In 2008, she not only received
an honorary doctorate from Solent
University but she also started a
line of accessories to complement
bridal gowns.
 In addition to this, between 2010
and 2011, she launched a lingerie
collection. A year later, she joined
Debenhams‘s Designer portfolio with
a new line of apparel and accessories
for women and children.
 In 2013, her brand celebrated its
Silver Jubilee.
 Packham showed her collections
in London Fashion Week for several
years and then moved her exhibition
to Milan for four seasons before
returning to London. As of 2011,
she began displaying her work in
New York.
 Packham has been nominated
for Hollywood Style Designer of the
Year, British Bridal Dress Designer,
and International Couture Bridal
Designer of the Year.
 The shapes of dresses by Packham
remain simple in essence, but they
are cherished for their complex
construction that sometimes reminds
people of Christian Dior designs
from the 1950s – intricate boning,
lining and seaming.

 In her Fall 2015 collection, Jenny Packham
showcased dresses made out of shimmery
fabrics.
 Her garments had embellishments all over
the garment.
 She also used sheer fabric in the upper half
to complement the skirts.
Bridal collection –
spring 2016
 Packham used the same silhouette
throughout her collection.
The collection basically consists of simple yet
floor length bridal wear dresses.
Heavy Shimmery work have been done to
create a sense of emphasis across various
portions of the garment – neck, waist, etc..
 Repetition of motifs of silver material and
embellishments all over have been done in
some garments .
Packham also focuses on the quality
of materials invested in the clothes
and also on the level of comfort her
designs offer. Every season, her designs
evolve and the patterns plus colors
dramatically change. She experiments
with a combination of fabrics.
