ANJU MODI  Anju Modi is a well-known designer and has been reviving Indian textile traditions since 1990.  Labels - Anju Modi and am:pm  Inspired by drawn inspiration from the rich textile heritage and design legacy spread over the diverse geographies of India. A true from her childhood admirer of the Raja Ravi Varma.  Having no formal training she internationally displayed her designs at Heyers Fashion Festival 2006, Paris, organized by the Chambre Syndicale (organizers of the Paris Fashion Week), Miami Fashion Week 2006, and India Calling at the Hollywood Bowl 2009, Los Angeles.  Debuted as Costume Designer in ram leela she was awarded ELLE Style Award 2012 - India Re-invented.

BHANU ATHAIYA  Costume designer  born in 1926 in India  First Indian to win an Oscar.  Best Costume Design Gandhi (1982)  She worked with Siddharth Tewary and costume designer Nidhi Yasha of Swastik Pictures on the ambitious TV serial Mahabharat as consultant on costumes.  2002 (49th)National Film Award for Best Costume Design Lagaan
  • 5. BIBHU MOHAPATRA  1972 born in odisha,India.  First collection launched in new york 2009 Bibhu Mohapatra  An Indian-American fashion designer and costume designer. While studying at F.I.T., he was awarded Fashion Institute of Technology's Critics' Award for Best Evening Wear Designer of the Year.  Mohapatra was a finalist for the 2014 International Woolmark Prize..  Michelle Obama was wearing a dress designed by BIBHU M during her first visit to India.  He has so far made ready to wear resort luxury dress and worked with hand woven silks

Alexander's invasion of India had a great influence on Indian culture and tribes.
