Spain’s fast fashion retailer Zara and its owner Inditex
Group have revolutionised the industry, Zara became one
of the few Spanish brands recognised globally.
In August 2011, popular fashion brand zara was all over
the news. It was being accused by the Brazilian Ministry of
Labour of human rights violations. The complaints were
caused by the poor working conditions in a sewing studio in
Brazil, in which workers had to work for 14 hours a day in an
unhealthy and unsafe working environment. This sewing
studio was a subcontractor of Zara’s suppliers. According to
the newspapers, the labour was forced, which made it a
matter of slavery. It is one of the few known cases in which a
company is being held responsible for the acts of its
suppliers.
The king of fast fashion and on-trend seasonal collections
remains Zara. While customers can always rely
on Zara to be ahead of the game it’s
their pieces and design philosophy that truly
stand the test of time. As one of the world’s largest
international fashion companies Zara focuses
on local design, giving their shoppers the perfect
look for whenever they happen to be. Just as shoes
can make or break an outfit so can a jacket.
Zara prides itself on the brand’s wide selection
of durable yet fashion forward jackets and blazers.
With precise cuts, tailoring and attractive color
palettes each and every jacket stands out.
From leather bombers to smart blazers and trench coats,
Zara’s jackets are iconic and built to last.
