Webinar: Poverty Alleviation and Systems Change with Worker CooperativesEPIPNational
A time-tested approach to community economic development internationally, worker cooperative businesses are making inroads in the United States with regional initiatives in New York City, Madison, the Bay Area, and rural areas in the South. In this webinar, we aim to introduce worker-cooperative development as an innovative approach to poverty alleviation in U.S. communities through its focus on community wealth-building through worker-ownership and democratic decision-making. We'll explore case studies to explore how funders and citizens can learn from what has been done and take advantage of new opportunities to support real change.
Social entrepreneurship verses Business EntrepreneurshipFRANCIS BUKENYA
Social entrepreneurs are practical visionaries who possess qualities traditionally associated with leading business entrepreneurs – vision – innovation – determination and long-term commitment – but are dedicated to a systematic social change in their chosen field.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

23. MyBnk and Social Innovation
Communication from the European Commission , 2011/682 final
MyBnk-Jennifer
24. Social innovation
Innovation is the multi-stage process whereby organizations transform ideas
into new/improved products, service or processes, in order to advance, compete
and differentiate themselves successfully in their marketplace
Baregheh A, Rowley J and Sambrook S.(2009) “Towards a multidisciplinary definition of
innovation”, Management decision, vol. 47, no. 8, pp. 1323‐1339
A Social innovation is a complex process of introducing new products, processes or
programs that profoundly change the basic routines, resource and authority flows, or
beliefs of the social system in which the innovation occurs. Such successful social
innovations have durability and broad impact
(FRANCES WESTLEY, PhD, The Innovation Journal:
The Public Sector Innovation Journal, Vol. 15(2), 2010, article 2)
Social innovations are new ideas (products, services and models) that
simultaneously meet social needs (more effectively than alternatives) and create new
social relationships or collaborations
(Book of Social Innovation, Murray, Calulier-Grice and Mulgan, March 2010,
Communication from the European Commission)

Financial knowledge to life to have a successful route to long-term participation in the job market
Together with young people, we have created high impact and high energy financial and enterprise education programmes on topics such as saving and budgeting, survival money management, social enterprise and start up entrepreneurship. MyBnk have formed the first ever youth-led banking scheme MyBnk-in-a-Box, that allows young people to save and develop positive habits around money from a young age. We provide enterprise experiences by giving young people access to interest-free loans to set up their own enterprise in their local community.Young people are at the heart of everything we do, and we take a holistic approach to education, catering for audio, visual and kinesthetic learners. Our team is made up of teachers, youth workers and people who have worked in the financial sector.
