Gideon was so frightened at the sight of
the Angel of the Lord that he knew he
was as good as dead, but the Angel said
Peace be with you, do not fear, you shall
not die. With that comfort, Gideon built
an altar and called the place “Jehovah
Shalom. The Lord is my Peace.

DEFINEDThe word peace in the old testament
as being in a state of safety, health,
prosperity and favor.
In the new testament defined as being
whole or complete, secure and
prosperous.
Peace only comes from God. It does
not come from the world.

CONTEXT FOR HAVING
PEACE.
Philippians 4: 4-9…Rejoice in the Lord always.
Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be
known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious
for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be
made known to God, and the peace of God which
surpasses all understanding will guard your hearth
and minds thru Christ Jesus.

Our peace is found in God not
goods or even positions that we
have…
The world tries to solve problems to
bring peace but the only peace that
the world cannot give comes only
from God.
