o Administer the overall direction and performance of Western Illinois Correctional Center and Clayton
Work Camp’s operations, programs and activities. Employed 450 employees and housed 2,100 offenders.
o Supervised 16 Department Heads, including business, maintenance, training, personnel, vocational,
academics, meat processing, dietary and healthcare.
 Apply preventative security measures over the operations and programs units.
o Supervised AssistantWarden of Operation, including 300 security staff, maintenance, dietary
management, and mailroom operations.
o Supervised AssistantWarden of Programs, including vocational, academics, healthcare, and chaplaincy
programs.
 Supervise, evaluate and work with facility Business Administrator
o Pursuing the ongoing compliance of existing Departmental Rules and Administrative Directives
regarding facility budgets.
o Fiscal responsibility of expenditures and resources of a 35 million dollar facility budget.
 Consult with outside agencies regarding the care and custody of offenders.
o Representing the facility as custodian of hundreds of offenders.
o Ensuring proper medical care of the offender.

 Review and advise Administrative Staff relative to labor language/policy issues associated with appropriate
contracts.

 Supervised, assigned and reviewed staff’s work.
o Completing counseling sessions and work performance evaluations for assigned staff.
