white coating.
• Tonsils excessively
swollen can hradly
breathe; stringy tough
mucus. Eustachian
catarrh hardness of
hearing.

soft bread; must twist
his neck to swallow.
• Follicles.

• Dark red or white spots

Suppurative and
offensive.
• Left sided tonsillitis
(Merc Iod Flav is right
sided).
• Tonsilar affection in

• Stiffness of muscles of
throat & neck.
• On hawking hard
greenish tough mucus
ball accumulates in the
posterior part of the
larynx.

• Dark red or bluish red.
Uvula large.
• Dr. C. S. Kali says, tonsil
swollen, first blood shot
red thereafter white
streaks in the posterior
surface of the fauces
suppurative.
• Hot sensation +
shooting pain to the
ears on swallowing +
cannot swallow anything
hot: Trio characteristics.

PSORINUM
• Easily catches
cold tonsil
suppurates pain in
ear on swallowing.
Can eradicate the
tendency to quinsy.
• Greatly swollen,
congested with
white (pyogenic)
spots on the
fauces hawks
cheesy balls of
offensive smell &
taste.

• It is indicated after
Hepar, when the
abscess has
discharged but
refuses to heal,
and the pus, keeps
on forming
(suppurative +++)
and grows dark &
foetid and
disagreeable to the

• Pricking as from a

tonsils: Crot. Hor, Lach,
Phos, Tereb.
• Blue-purple: Lach. • Bluish: Ammon Carb.
• Caeseous deposits
tonsils: Chenpodium,
Kali Mur.
• Chronic, tonsils not
large but hard: Staph.
• Copper-coloured:
Merc.
• Dark: Phyto.

• Mottled: Lach.
• Purple: Ailanthus,

• Syphilitic: Kali-I,

• Tonsilitis with burning:
