Organized and distributed downloaded renewal and new business policies, endorsements, audits,
cancellations and reinstatements to account managers. Processed large renewal certificate runs and
daily certificate requests through the certificate management system. Scanned, processed, and
reviewed policies, endorsements and audits through their agency management system. Ensured that
policy provisions matched the coverage ordered. Ordered endorsements and motor vehicle reports
as directed by account managers.

Reviewed loss control inspection reports to determine if the recommendations made accurately

Horton Insurance Services
Conducted insurance reviews to ensure that borrowers are complying with the insurance
requirements as set forth by our client lender, as well as those required by government-sponsored
entities backing these loans such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. This included monitoring
exposure to catastrophes for which insurance is limited or at times unavailable.
• Compared information presented on Evidence of Property and Certificate of Insurance to
ensure that they met requirements of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and showed the specific
coverages/limits/deductibles that were required for a loan closing.
• Client bank financed loans to large habitational building owners backed by Fannie Mae or
Freddie Mac. For the loan closing, these entities had very specific requirements for the
Evidence of Property Insurance and Certificate of Insurance documents.
• The challenge was getting the retail agent to use the required EPI and COI forms along with
getting them to provide the required information, especially on the EPI form. All of the closing
documents were e-mailed to the loan closing.
Midwest Technical Inspections
Reviewed loss control reports completed by independent contractor loss control inspectors to ensure
that they were accurate and met the high quality standards demanded by our clients, which were
Property and Casualty Insurance Companies, Excess and Surplus Lines Brokers, and Managing
General Agents.
• Reviewed loss control inspection questionnaires/reports, proofreading the spelling, grammar,
and sentence structure in the narrative portion of the report
• Reviewed the questionnaire part of the report, making sure that the narrative reflected the
answers provided in the questionnaire section. I had to ensure that all parts of the report made
sense to the client.

• Reviewed the diagram submitted by the inspector describing the dimensions of the buildings,
the number of floors, and comparing it to the questionnaire portion, redrawing the diagram as
needed to satisfy client.
• Reviewed the ISO construction classification of buildings, the Boeckh classification of
commercial buildings by occupancy (church, hotel, etc.) and quality classification to ensure the
accuracy of replacement values.
