The Historical and Folklore Museum of Nikiti aims to showcase the history and culture of the village of Nikiti through a collection of over 1,500 objects. However, the museum faces challenges of limited resources, funding, and communication. To address this, temporary art installations were set up outside the museum to promote it, attracting visitors who then shared about their experiences online. Partnering with local businesses for events like open-air cinema and concerts helped increase awareness of the museum in innovative ways. Continued engagement with the community is needed to establish sustainable solutions for these initial challenges.

• COMENIUS -Taccle 2:TACCLE 2 is addressed to teachers who are interested in
integrating ICT and e-learning in the classroom for specific subjects: primary
education, maths, science and technology, key competences, arts and culture and
humanities. The project will also create in-service training courses to acquire
competences and share experiences with peers.
• COMENIUS-Lablearning: The project aims to deliver concrete models of media
based didactics to prevent drop-out, early school leaving and poor learning results.
• GRUNDTVIG multilateral- Parents: The project aims to develop training material
for parents to increase awareness and knowledge of career advising for their
children
• COMENIUS - ReAct: The project will integrate the three key elements: autonomy,
creativity and collaboration in a methodology aimed at harnessing the potential of
new technologies, in order to carry out creative activities; facilitate collaboration in
collaborative projects, reducing geographical distances and promoting mutual
cultural understanding, and reflection and develop meta-cognitive skills and critical
thinking in students with low learning motivation.
18. The italian school system
The italian school system articulates in three cycles:
• Primary (or basic) cycle: 8 compulsory years of schooling
beginning at age 6.
• Secondary cycle: 5 years (the first and the second year are
compulsory). This cycle provides for four areas of specialization:
classical, scientific, technical and artistic studies
• High education ( University) / OR VET qualifications
19. Primary cycle
Two Sections
• The first is known as “scuola elementare” or primary school. It lasts for 5
years and begins at the age of 6.
• The second, “scuola media” or lower secondary school, is a three year
stint at the end of which students, assuming all goes well, receive a
“Diploma di Licenza di Scuola Media” and therefore the right to continue
their education.
20. Secondary cycle
• The students may choose from a range of High Schools,
known as "licei", with either classical, linguistic, artistic or
scientific specialisations, or move to study at an "istituto"
which prepares students for elementary school teaching as
well as technical, commercial and industrial careers.
• On completion of their chosen course students undertake a
State assessed exam which gives them a “diploma di
maturità” and hence the right to attend university.
• With the implementation of the new system the age of
compulsory education has shifted upward to 16 years. The
traditional “liceo” and “istituto” have been replaced by an
obligatory two-year period of general studies, followed by
three more years of optional specialised education. New
disciplines and a 34-hour week of classes are designed to
better prepare students for their future careers.
21. Guidance in VET system
• In order to translate priorities belonging to European
Resolutions into concrete actions, for lifelong learning , as far
as counceling is concerned , the member states established in
2007 a Euopean network for policies regarding permanent
guidance (European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network -
ELGPN)
• In Italy , the lack of a central organization which takes care of
the matter or however is responsible for the coordination, has
limited the efficiency and strength of guidance policies,
obstracting the development of a mature guidance system,
• Lately , the activity of guidance increased considerably
,increasing therefore the number and types of organizations
present on the different Italian regional territories.
22. • The organisations that look after guidance in Italy are mostly
Unemployment Centers (Provincial ) and job agency. These
centers offer many services regarding guidance, acceptance
and distribution of information on the working market,
counseling, the proposal of training and guidance, the
execution of other important activities concerning guidance,
such as guidance paths/laboratories for choosing, laboratories
for active job research , the balance of competences, followed
through to job insertion or re-insertion (such as tutoring,
periodical interview ex D.Lgs. n. 297/02, the activity of
integration for disable people or with social diasability),
company stages.
• There is a need for a detailed, structured and more efficient
service in a period of crises that imposes to strengthen the
valorisation policies of the human resources and to realize more
efficient active policies
• The IX Education ,Work, Innovation and Research Committee,
of the Regional Conference and Autonomous Provinces, has
recently started a path with the aim of identifying the
government priorities for guidance and the working trails for the
coming years.
