GetInvolved &
Nole Your Campus
The projects we are working on are NoleYourCampus and
GetInvolved. NoleYourCampus is a platform that promotes spaces
at Florida State University. GetInvolved is a platform that promotes
student and university events.
Our tasks for these projects are to post weekly on Instagram
about spots on campus we believe should be recognized, and about
events & activities occurring at FSU’s College of Communication
and Information.

T H I N G S T O C O N S I D E R
For this project, our group must focus on bringing attention to
these social media platforms.
Ours goals consist of increasing engagement, create more traffic,
and manage reputation and awareness. We must create content
that is engaging, and that can be engaged with. We must identify
our target audience and take our metrics into account to measure
our success. Specifically, through Instagram we are able to see the
amount of people reached whether that be through a post, reel, or
story.

To ensure success, we must create a
system in which we are able to create
content and remain consistent in
order to reach our goals.
Our plan is to incorporate a
content calendar in which we
are able to set deadlines and
plan posts and captions.

Each week, we will create a new post about a
spot on the campus that we have not covered
yet
We will have our weekly Instagram posts as proof
of the group’s efforts
.
We will choose 1-3 weekday’s to consistently post
on Instagram
Our success will be measured by how consistent
our weekly uploads are, our follower count, and
our overall engagement

We will be using Groupme, email,
and phone numbers to get in
contact with group members in
order to assign tasks.
Our Social Media Marketing group will
be collaborating with Blogging FSU.
We are working together because our
groups have similar tasks and goals.
Teaming up with Blogging FSU is a
great way to create traffic towards
our social media accounts.
Success in social media marketing
can be shown in collaborations.
Through collaboration, we have the
ability to reach consumers that
may not be aware of our accounts.
The goal is to create awareness of
our social media for our target
audience.

THE RISKS
SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
There is a risk of receiving negative
comments or feedback from the
audience, especially if they disagree
with the spots you believe should be
recognized or if they have a negative
experience with the events and
activities you promote.
Despite the goal of increasing
engagement, there is a risk of not
receiving sufficient attention or
interaction from the audience. If the
content is not appealing, relevant, or
consistently posted, it may fail to
capture the interest of the target
audience.
If the project is not handled carefully,
it could negatively impact the
reputation of FSU's College of
Communication and Information.
Inaccurate information, insensitive
content, or poor management of
comments and discussions can harm
the project's credibility and the
reputation of the college
Posting about specific spots on
campus and events could potentially
raise privacy and security concerns.
Sharing sensitive information or
inadvertently promoting unsafe
activities may compromise the well-
being of individuals or the security of
the campus

Before posting, we can conduct
thorough research on the spots,
events, and activities to ensure
accuracy and relevance. We may also
consider gathering input from
students, faculty, and staff to
identify significant areas of interest
and potential controversies. This will
help us address potential criticisms
and present a more balanced
perspective.
We should create high-quality and
engaging content consistently. Use
visually appealing images, videos, and
informative captions to capture the
attention of our target audience.
Incorporate storytelling techniques
and highlight the unique aspects of
the spots and events to make the
content more interesting and
shareable.
We need to engage with our
audience in a transparent and
respectful manner. Respond to
comments and feedback promptly,
addressing any concerns or criticisms
professionally. Encourage open
discussions while maintaining a
respectful tone, even if there are
differing opinions.
By fostering a strong relationship
with FSU's College of Communication
and Information. Collaborating with
faculty, staff, and students to gain
their support and involvement in the
project. This can help ensure the
accuracy of the information shared
and increase the project's visibility
within the college community.

with our page: followers, likes,
comments.
Specifically, we will also be
looking for potential and current
traffic our social media sites
obtain. We want to see an
increase in the number of visits
to our page and comparing
ourselves to other social media
sites at FSU.

  • 5. THE COLLAB We will be using Groupme, email, and phone numbers to get in contact with group members in order to assign tasks. Our Social Media Marketing group will be collaborating with Blogging FSU. We are working together because our groups have similar tasks and goals. Teaming up with Blogging FSU is a great way to create traffic towards our social media accounts. Success in social media marketing can be shown in collaborations. Through collaboration, we have the ability to reach consumers that may not be aware of our accounts. The goal is to create awareness of our social media for our target audience. THE RISKS SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING There is a risk of receiving negative comments or feedback from the audience, especially if they disagree with the spots you believe should be recognized or if they have a negative experience with the events and activities you promote. Despite the goal of increasing engagement, there is a risk of not receiving sufficient attention or interaction from the audience. If the content is not appealing, relevant, or consistently posted, it may fail to capture the interest of the target audience. If the project is not handled carefully, it could negatively impact the reputation of FSU's College of Communication and Information. Inaccurate information, insensitive content, or poor management of comments and discussions can harm the project's credibility and the reputation of the college Posting about specific spots on campus and events could potentially raise privacy and security concerns. We may also consider gathering input from students, faculty, and staff to identify significant areas of interest and potential controversies. This will help us address potential criticisms and present a more balanced perspective. We should create high-quality and engaging content consistently. Use visually appealing images, videos, and informative captions to capture the attention of our target audience. Incorporate storytelling techniques and highlight the unique aspects of the spots and events to make the content more interesting and shareable. We need to engage with our audience in a transparent and respectful manner. Respond to comments and feedback promptly, addressing any concerns or criticisms professionally. Encourage open discussions while maintaining a respectful tone, even if there are differing opinions. By fostering a strong relationship with FSU's College of Communication and Information. Collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to gain their support and involvement in the project. This can help ensure the accuracy of the information shared and increase the project's visibility within the college community. Specifically, we will also be looking for potential and current traffic our social media sites obtain.
