This document discusses corrosion protection coatings for mild and galvanized steel. It summarizes three projects where Dekro Paints recommended different coatings: at Acacia Park they recommended RustRite, a decorative rust treatment; at West Coast Mall they recommended epoxy coatings; and at Merensky they recommended Hydrobond 44 and Hydrosilk. It also discusses two other projects, one involving encapsulation of asbestos and steel, and another involving coatings for a wine cellar approved by Thales that are organohalogen-free. Finally, it discusses Hydromet rust conversion coating and its properties for situations where blast cleaning is not possible.

Hydrobond44 a waterbasedanti-corrosive andrust-inhibiting
coatingand Hydrosilkasa top coat. Hydrosilkisanadhesion
promotedacrylicthatcan be paintedonvariousmetal
surfaces.
DekroPaintsiscurrentlyprovidingvarious
coatingsfor the internal redecorationof the
factorybuildingatthe corner of PaardenEiland
Drive and Carlisle Street.The encapsulationof
oldasbestosandstructural steel isincludedin

2. Anyproductsspecifiedforwine cellarsand
distilleriesmustbe approvedbyThalesand
organohalogenfree.The organohalogenswill
affectthe taste and qualityof the winesif the
wineswere exposedtothe vapourof the
