- Het recipe model beschrijft 4 recepttypes die gevonden worden in een bedrijf. Een recept is een minimum set van informatie die de productie benodigdheden voor een specifiek product beschrijft. Recepten zijn een middel om producten te beschrijven en hoe die producten gemaakt worden. Een general recipe is een recept element op enterprise niveau, die de basis is voor de lager liggende recept elementen. Het general recipe wordt gemaakt zonder dat kennis nodig is van de apparatuur die het product moet produceren. Het geeft aan welke ‘raw materials’, hun relatieve hoeveelheden en bewerkingen nodig zijn. Installatie onafhankelijk. Een site recipe is specifiek voor een ‘site’. Meestal wordt het site recipe afgeleid van het general recipe, met detaillering voor een specifieke site. B.v. de taal waarin het recept is geschreven of verschillende lokale materialen zijn specifieke variaties. Maar het recept is nog steeds onafhankelijk van de te gebruiken apparatuur.
- Het master recipe is bedoeld voor een Process Cell of een gedeelte daarvan. Een master recipe kan worden afgeleid van een site of general recipe, maar kan ook onafhankelijk bestaan. Een control recipe start als een kopie van een specifieke versie van het master recipe en wordt aangevuld met de benodigde scheduling en operationele informatie voor een specifieke batch. Het bevat daarvoor product-specifieke proces informatie.
