How we judge your essays
ARGUMENTATION AND UNDERSTANDING
• Clear and convincing argument supported by evidence and
examples (literature, lectures, guest speaker lectures),
demonstrating understanding of key concepts
ANALYSIS
• Critical appraisal & imaginativeness, application of
argument to concrete examples that demonstrate
(corroborate / challenge) theoretical arguments /
statements
ORGANISATION AND PRESENTATION
• Clearly written and structured, good flow, strong
introduction and conclusion.
