These slides accompanied the IoT Ghent Meetup workshop hosted at de Krook, with Kraak de Krook. Two teams explored city problems and create two inspiring solutions which could tackle traffic and urban farming challenges within the city. This workshop aimed to help ideate solutions for proposals in the open call for Synchronicity IoT (https://www.synchronicity-iot.eu/) from the European Commission. IndianaJS - Building spatially aware web sites for the Web of Things

While almost any device today may have a virtual representation, the web itself is not yet a very physical experience. Bringing proven spatial interaction and ubiquitous computing paradigms to life using current web technology, we designed IndianaJS, a JavaScript framework to add a physical browsing experience to any Web of Things content. The evaluation of the IoT-Radar, built on top of our library, shows that web-based hyper-reality can still achieve a unique user experience 15 years after the first implementations. This presentation introduces the library, showcases our physical browser - the IoT Compass, and presents the results of our usability study. The world’s best cities to live in are not the ones with the most advanced technological layers but cities that create an atmosphere where citizens, companies and government together build a vital and sustainable innovation platform. A platform strategy enables cities to engage the most important stakeholders. As a result, quadruple helix innovation contributes to a smarter city. 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫: -Define entrepreneurship, distinguishing it from general business activities by emphasizing its focus on innovation, risk-taking, and value creation. Students will describe the characteristics and traits of successful entrepreneurs, including their roles and responsibilities, and discuss the broader economic and social impacts of entrepreneurial activities on both local and global scales.

5. The IoT Methodology Co-creation Workshop A hands-on guided exercise exploring cities and workspaces, to create and ideate solutions inspired by the Internet of Things

6. From context to concept Using a double-diamond process, teams walk through exploration, problem definition, idea generation and prototyping tasks to create an IoT concept. From here we can develop business value propositions and technical requirements to actually build solutions.

7. GOAL How can we make our City better by using Internet of Things solutions so residents, students and the elderly can create stronger communities and get more out of the civic services Outcome: Four concepts that can be taken forward to build
