This proposal suggests creating a recycling program called "Invisible Recyclers" on the Upper East Side of New York City. It would involve local shops, restaurants, and residents working together to collect more recyclables, which would help the 15 million informal waste pickers worldwide who collect recyclables to earn a living. By recycling more as a community and raising awareness of informal waste pickers, the proposal aims to reduce trash and increase recycling in the neighborhood.
