This document lists and describes many invasive species that have negatively impacted ecosystems in the United States. It defines introduced and invasive species, and provides examples like kudzu vine. It then lists invasive plants, animals, invertebrates, vertebrates, microbes, aquatic plants and animals that have been introduced to US ecosystems through human activity and successfully outcompete native species for resources. Examples included are zebra mussels, emerald ash borer beetle, nutria, brown tree snake, autumn olive, Japanese knotweed, avian influenza, and soybean rust.
