• Boots were called kamiks. When they were
worn on land they were made from caribou skin.
Kamiks were used to be made for water these
boots are water proof so they can go in the
water.
• Parkas are only made from caribou hides Inuit
people use parkas for a special pouches to hold
their babies.
5. Food
• Caribou was the Inuit’s main food. They ate the
bones, the blood and the fat as well as the meat.
• Fish was the second favorite Inuit’s food you
could it the fish raw or cooked or dried.
• Nuts and berries. Vegetables could not grow in
the Arctic char because it is so cold there that
you could freeze.
• Bannock is a type of bread the inuit made dough
that was wrapped around a stick.
6. Tools

seals and whales.
