• The Inuit lived in
Nunavut, the
Northwest Territories,
and Northern
Quebec.
3. Clothing
• The Inuit parkas are made out of caribou hides.
The woman’s parka’s have little holders to hold
their babies.
• The Inuit people’s pants were made out of
caribou hides they were protected from freezing,
wind, ice and snow
• The Inuit’s mitten’s were made out of sealskin
because it was strong it didn’t let it get wet.
• The Inuit’s boot’s were called kamiks. Kamiks
are made to use in water and were made out of
sealskin.
4. Homes
• In the winter the Inuit lived in igloos. They
were shaped from blocks of ice stacked in
a circle. They formed a dome. If the final
igloo pieces do not fit on the igloo the igloo
will collapse.
• In the summer the Inuit built tents made
from wooden poles.
5. Food
• The Inuit ate caribou. It was the Inuit's
main food. The Inuit ate every piece of the
animal including the fat, bones, and blood.
• The Inuit fished for Arctic char witch they
ate it frozen, cooked, raw, or dried.
6. Tools
• The Inuit used a unaq a type of harpoon it
was used to hunt seals and whales.
• The Inuit used a nitsiq to pull animals from
the water.
• The Inuit hunted and followed herds the
sleds called komatiks that were pulled by
dogs.
