Introduction to
HSE
•HSE or Health safety environment
is a system of programs and
procedures that involves identifying
Potential hazards, and minimize the
risk.
•Actual and potential accidents
(Personal injury ,property damage
and production interruptions…),
should be evaluated carefully.
•Many aspects should be considered
beside the human safety like the
environmental impacts and waste
disposal.
Emergency Response
Emergency response is the
stage of the disaster
management cycle that aims
to protect employees ,
environment from hazards,
and assets from damage.
Emergency procedures
1. Safely stop your work and leave the building
through the nearest door with an Emergency Exit
sign.
2. Go to the nearest safe stairway and do not use
elevators.
3. Follow the floor warden instructions.
4. Get to the emergency safe point.
Introduction to PPE
PPE or Personal Protective
Equipment is protective clothing
(Overall), Helmets, Vest, Boots,
Face mask, goggles, Face shield,
gloves, or other equipment
designed to protect the wearer's
body from injury or infection.
Fire Fighting
The fire triangle or combustion
triangle is a simple model for
understanding the main elements for
most fires which are oxygen , source of
heat , and fuel.
Fire Fighting
The Fires mainly divided into 3 classes and
each class has the suitable fire extinguisher.
Work Permits
Types of Safe Work Permits:
•Hot Work Permit
•Cold Work Permit
•Confined Space Entry Permit
•Excavation (Drilling) Permit
STOP Card
The “Stop Card” in HSE is a
behavioral based safety program
which is designed to prevent
injuries and reduce hazards in
workplace. “STOP” in the STOP
Card means Safety Training
Observation Program. The
observations made during the STOP
program is recorded in the STOP
CARD.
H2S Handling
