LibreSocial - P2P Framework for Social Networks - OverviewKalman Graffi
Digital social networks promise to activate the social participants and to support them in their interactivity patterns. Private relationships evolve to friendships, professional contacts define competence networks and political opinions emerge to revolutionary trends. Social networks often act as driving force to intensify the social and global relationships.
In future, using the „Peer-to-Peer Framework for Social Networks“ everybody may host easily and out-of-the-box his personal online social network, without operating costs and without security risks. The framework offers a large set of interactive apps, which can be are freely combinable and technically limitless in their applicability.
The operating costs for such a social network are a revolutionary: no expenses arise. Whether a network for 10 users or for a global network of Millions of users, one aspect is common: due to the peer-to-peer technology used, no expenses arise. Researchers led by Dr.-Ing. Kalman Graffi at the University of Paderborn combined in the framework the advantages of decentralized peer-to-peer applications, of an app market as well as the cloud principle.
The social network is maintained in a peer-to-peer fashion through the computational power of the users’ devices, expensive servers are not needed. Still the availability, retrievability and security of the users‘ data are guaranteed. Each user keeps total control on the access control rights of his data. Similar to the main property of the cloud, the network’s capabilities grow elastically with the number of users. Further plugins can be developed easily. An app market that is included allows to provide these plugins in order to extend the capabilities and applications in the social network on the fly.
Enormous application opportunities without operating costs are the main reason to use the „P2P Framework for Social Networks“ emphasize the researchers of the corresponding project group at the University of Paderborn. The software as a prototype is already in use. Contact us for more information.
Activity Streams are a way to publish and share updates about user activities and interactions on websites and applications. They allow users to see updates from others they follow in a centralized stream. Several major websites like GitHub, Facebook, and WordPress use activity streams to share updates. The DISO project is working to develop open standards for activity streams using microformats. The Activity Streams Ruby gem implements these standards, allowing developers to log activity streams in their Rails applications and enable social features like content sharing and discovery.

Building Apache NiFi 2.0 Python Processors
Abstract
Let’s enhance real-time streaming pipelines with smart Python code. Adding code for vector databases and LLM.
Summary
Tim Spann: I'm going to be talking today, be building Apache 9520 Python processors. One of the main purposes of supporting Python in the streaming tool Apache Nifi is to interface with new machine learning and AI and Gen AI. He says Python is a real game changer for Cloudera.
You're just going to add some metadata around it. It's a great way to pass a file along without changing it too substantially. We really need you to have Python 310 and again JDK 21 on your machine. You got to be smart about how you use these models.
There are a ton of python processors available. You can use them in multiple ways. We're still in the early world of Python processors, so now's the time to start putting yours out there. Love to see a lot of people write their own.
When we are parsing documents here, again, this is the Python one I'm picking PDF. Lots of different things you could do. If you're interested on writing your own python code for Apache Nifi, definitely reach out and thank.

This document discusses decentralized social networks as an alternative to centralized social media platforms. It proposes using blockchain technology and distributed servers rather than a single centralized server owned by a company. This allows for greater transparency, privacy, and security of user data. The document describes a proposed system architecture that uses Ethereum for the backend blockchain, IPFS for decentralized storage of images/videos, and a frontend web UI. It details how users could register and make posts with the social network application using this decentralized infrastructure.
Nostr is a protocol for building censorship-resistant decentralized applications, with social media being an early use case. It uses public/private key pairs like Bitcoin and allows users to subscribe to independently run relay servers. This avoids centralized control and censorship compared to current social platforms that sell user data and determine algorithmically what content users see. Nostr aims to reward users for valuable content and not monetize through advertising. It could provide an open alternative to platforms like Twitter and Substack that have faced censorship controversies.

Web3 Messaging Infrastructure Is Building on Upcomings DAO.docxUpcomings
The current DApps landscape that is released by emerging projects seems to struggle in attaining mainstream adoption. Hence, we believe that the blockchain ecosystem is yet to experience its “Netscape moment.” The core reason behind this modulation is the underlying protocols upon which DApps depend do not have adequate capability to allow broad adoption.
One hand element of the issue is that decentralized applications usually need the exchange of transient messages. However, due to their immutable attributed and privacy characteristics, why communicate these transient messages through a blockchain? Does it make sense to you?
While implementing in the early time of Ethereum, Gavin Wood caught this problem and recommended that decentralized applications can be provided with a decentralized messaging protocol to offer the required capability. Hence, the protocol was named Whisper.
Unfortunately, in spite of the rapid enhancement of DApps, the adoption of Whisper was diminutive. There was some lack of development that doesn’t meet the needs of the blockchain ecosystem as a result Whisper cannot offer the scaling decentralized applications require.
Simultaneously, it is not possible for projects to initiate their own bespoke messaging protocols. In fact, what the ecosystem entirely requires is a new protocol to tackle the transient messaging at scale.
Hence, Upcomings is successful in accomplishing this vision of Web3 presenting its new messaging application having the ability to be decentralized getting ready to go mainstream entails as a new privacy-preserving communication protocol.
Upcomings UpChat- Decentralized Chat
This is basically a decentralized messaging system by Upcomings ecosystem where it allows users to connect wallets and have a free chat with the users across. This DApp also includes a wallet feature to securely chat by connecting wallets for the convenience of the user.
It is a P2P communications platform at the forefront of data privacy that has released its beta version to allow users to chat directly in a secure, anonymous, and feature-rich environment.
UpcomingsDAO initiates the first-of-its-kind Web3 native social DApp naming it ‘UpChat Decentralized Chat’ to give users complete exclusive ownership of their data.
This decentralized application will be further integrated into the UpcomingsDAO ecosystem where whitelisted users can freely access this application. Here are some more reasons to join the app:
Connect your wallet and have a secure chat
Users can add nicknames to the chats
Create groups, channels, and servers as per choice
Make payments to wallet in chat [Main net version]
Share media with the purpose
UpChat is intentionally designed as an alternative to mainstream messaging projects where such project owns and track user data profiles.

IRJET - Automation in Python using Speech RecognitionIRJET Journal
This document describes a project to automate Python using speech recognition. The system allows a user to compile and execute Python scripts and Java codes using voice commands. It works by monitoring a specified directory for file system changes. When a voice command is received with the name of a file, a batch file is dynamically created to execute the corresponding Python script or Java code. The output is then displayed in the command prompt window. The overall goal is to reduce the effort required to run programs by automating the process through speech commands.
