This course focuses on oral medicine and how systemic diseases can manifest in the mouth. The course objectives are to develop skills in diagnosing and treating oral diseases while considering a patient's medical conditions, evaluate medical information to determine unknown systemic conditions, and discuss how medical conditions impact dental care. Lectures will cover systemic diseases that affect the oral cavity, clinical diagnosis and management, and oral manifestations of systemic conditions. Topics will include medical history taking, physical examination, investigations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of patients with both oral and systemic conditions.
