This is Billy's presentation to the Mozilla Hub meetup on January 12, 2024,
Highlights include an introduction to XRCLOUD, where it's headed, and what he'd like to say to the Hub team.

Is it possible to have a transit effect when moving rooms across domains?
One of the best features of the Hub is that when you navigate to another room in the same domain, there is no
page load and a natural transitive movement effect is applied. This is a great way to expand the space of the
metaverse. However, when you go to a service on a different domain, there is a page load, you have to leave
the immersive experience, and you have to set up a new avatar. I understand that this is an unavoidable part of
the structure of web technologies, but in a web metaverse architecture with mutual trust and compatibility
through new browser standards like CORS, it would be nice to have a way to navigate without page loading.
We want to give avatars the freedom of expression through facial recognition, motion recognition.
It would be great to be able to use the avatar you set on your XR device as the default avatar for the browser or hub. We
currently have access to avatars in Meta with the Unity SDK, so I'd like to find a way to utilize that.
Hopes to maintain a good working relationship with the Hub community and XRCLOUD
I am grateful for the open source ecosystem that has allowed us to build a powerful web metaverse with a small
team, and I want to contribute to it. The language and time difference from Korea are challenging, but I hope we
can grow together with the open source community at Mozilla Hub. We are still a small startup in Korea, and we
have a lot of outsourced development work that we need to earn money for to continue our development
activities, and we are also trying to attract investment. In fact, we priced XRCLOUD's paid service, which is not yet
open, by comparing the price of HubCloud Commnuity edition. The suncheoneco.net project for ecological
environment education that I shared with you was also developed with support from a local government
organization in Korea. As a result, we don't have enough manpower to commercialize and spread XR Cloud or
contribute to open source. I would like to know if there is any help we can get or projects and activities we can
collaborate with to solve these funding difficulties.
