Welcome Bangkokians!
@openworldmagazine
What do you do?
😓
Marketing is perhaps
the most misunderstood
and misused of
business practices.
Trillions of dollars are
wasted each year.
My Promise: In this
workshop you’re going to
learn powerful outreach and
growth hacking strategies to
generate non-stop prospects,
leads, and customers
Use this information wisely and responsibly 😤 😤
Warning!
Most advice
is terrible
It will leave you with no
clue how to actually
market a business
successfully and gain
loyal users and
customers
The Heart of
Marketing:
“All businesses grow from conversations.”
Facilitating these conversations is marketing.
The #1 way to grow any type of business
Marketing is big business, in large companies whole departments are devoted to
marketing. There are thousands of books about marketing. It is easy to get
overwhelmed and get confused. To find clarity in the world of marketing, remember
one thing: all businesses grow from conversations. It is that simple.

Facilitating these conversations is marketing. This can take place through any form
of media — in-person, on the phone, in an ad, or in a piece of content. But the formula
is very consistent and once you understand exactly how to create conversations that
lead to sales (and delivering value to your market), then you are on the right path.
Many marketers think the purpose of marketing on social
media is just to sell, so they run Facebook ads. They’re stuck
using outdated Web 1.0 methods - broadcasting vertically to its
followers - rather than newer, more effective models of mutual
interaction where brands and products are valued because
they reinforce an individual user’s identity.

And as a result, many marketers and entrepreneurs alike hit a
“wall” trying to market themselves on social media platforms
and never really get past it.

Through combining white hat, best practice communication
techniques with a little bit of gray hat automation, we can
deploy VERY powerful campaigns to “hack” social media and
gain maximum leverage at minimal cost.
The most common mistake people
marketing on social media
The Core of Marketing
Campaigns:
(This makes things simple)
Warning!
Advertising can be
dangerous.
Ignore these steps at your own peril!
!
The #1 reason people fail with marketing
People get so caught up in the media — the new shiny object or trend (such
as FB ads, Snapchat, Instagram, SEO, and on and on) — that they want to
ignore the basics of what creates a successful campaign in the first place.
All marketing that was ever created has three elements to it (this is called
the “Marketing Triangle”): Market (Who), Message (What), and Media (How).
Market (Who)
DEADLY MISTAKE: not defining a
market! Each message has to be
tailored to the market or we fail.
One of the biggest mistakes people
make is that they do not define their
market clearly enough. You need to
narrow this down as much as
possible and first focus ONLY on
the group of people who will most
likely convert to your business.
Targeting everyone, or targeting the
wrong market, will waste your time
and you won’t have much fun.
• Every market is an insider community with its own language. Before you
craft your message, you have to be one of them — speak the language they
know.
• Go where the users are: Huge communities on Amazon, Google,
Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, ProductHunt, Newsletters, Craigslist, etc. etc.
• FMIC - Find, Message, Interest, Convert.
For best results, always be very
precise about who (the market) your
content (or website, or ad) is for
Instagram…
Reddit…
Facebook…

Hands-On Example
Using Instagram)
Messages
Crafting a great message is an art form.
Each message has to be tailored to the A) media B)
placement C) context D) market or it won’t be as
effective as it could be.
Most marketing messages are far too weak.
Businesses sell with secondary benefits or things that
don’t make sense. Don’t waste your prospect’s time.
Paid traffic should be sent only to a landing page.
Two types of campaigns: asynchronous and
synchronous.
Create a Killer Message in
One Step: The “3AM Test”
If you woke a person at three in the morning and
delivered your message, would they care? Or would they
beg to be let back to sleep?

• You need to get people to stop scrolling their newsfeed, to rest their eyeballs
on your video (or their landing page, or whatever), and to turn the volume on.
• What we are really after is to cut through the noise. We are not competing
with our competitors. We are competing for attention with everyone on
Instagram, everyone on Snapchat, everyone posting on Facebook.
• After we get their attention, we have to demonstrate that who we are and what
we have to offer is: important to survival, to their reproduction, or helping the
person get more of what they want (love, freedom, praise, attention, etc.)
• It should also reinforce their identity (how they see themselves as or who they
want to become). People share things that reinforce an identity they want to be
associated with — they seem cool, educated, thoughtful, or funny to followers.
Messages

(Outreach)
Find Message Interest Convert
Messages (examples)
Messages (examples)
Messages (outreach)
Messages (outreach)
Messages (outreach)
Messages
(asynchronous)
Goal = Create Conversations / Relationships.
In general, do not present an offer until a user
demonstrates interest or demonstrates a problem.
Outreach and onboarding: Engage, Build Rapport, Probe.
Ask a probing / rapport building question and invite people
to respond: “What are your goals with X?” “How did you get
started with Y?” “What have your challenges been with
XYZ?”
Band-Aid formula: Identify a need that you can solve.

Messages
(asynchronous)
• The message varies depending on the media
(Twitter: 140 characters, email is longer, Instagram
doesn’t allow links, etc)

• Each niche has it’s own “insider” secret language
• People use social media to share, engage, connect —
don’t sell at first; offer friendship, community, rapport
• Always start/end your messages positively (eg positive
email subject lines) — “anchors” you to pleasant feelings

• In some contexts, such as PR, crowdfunding, video, etc.
you have to sell your story even more than your product.

Messages (cont)
Media
• DEADLY MISTAKE: Many people think marketing is
only THIS.

This is why so much time and money is wasted, such as
spending years trying to rank in Google for non-
converting keywords or spending millions on pointless
Superbowl ads.
• They think marketing = SEO, FB ads, software, etc.
Amateurs only focus on “media" and mess up the other
two sides of the marketing triangle.
• All three need to be in sync or your marketing will fail.
Media
• Every media channel has different strengths /
weaknesses. Some markets are more active on some,
and less active on others.
• Each media platform can be hacked (!)
• Identify the opportunity and scale

• Example: Airbnb grew by exploiting Craigslist’s
already huge user base (Many other companies/entre-
preneurs have done the same and also gotten very rich).
Examples
Client: Parenting App in UK
Market: Parenting bloggers / influencers -

#Mumbloggers / #Mummybloggers

Media: Twitter
Message: “We’re recruiting parenting bloggers in the UK to
curate emails. Commission based role. Care to discuss?”

Client: Hipster Neckties
Market: Hipsters into Unique Fashion - #Dapper

Media: Instagram
Message: Follow, like, comment: “Love your style,

it’s an inspiration! Do you follow trends or prefer to set
your own?”

Examples
Client: Guesthouse in Chiang Mai, Thailand
Market: Backpackers in Thailand - #AmazingThailand,
#ThailandTrip, #KohSamui, #KohTao, etc.

Media: Instagram
Message: “We love your photos of Thailand! If you’re
ever in Chiang Mai, please visit us and have a free
coffee on us. We would love to meet you!”

Market: Entrepreneurs / Online Business Owners - FB Groups —
“Growth Hackers,” “Traffic and Copy,” etc.

Media: Facebook
Message: “Hey John! I noticed we’re both members of the Growth
Hackers group and wanted to reach out. How have your results
been with growth hacking? I’m about to launch a new book called
“Dr Growth” with my best hacks and looking to meet other growth
hackers :) Take care”

Customer Relationship
Timeline (What I Track):
I don’t track website visits, followers, or subscribers (I don’t
particularly care). I track only these things in my marketing funnel:
(These metrics are EVERYTHING)
Prospects —> Leads —> Conversions / Clients —> Inactive Clients
Prospects 😈
This is the act of getting people into your funnel. This is
known as “cold” marketing. You are basically finding people
who do not know you exist, and making an introduction, and
an offer to connect.
Big Mistake: “Drive by selling” — trying to get people who
have no idea who you are to sign up for your service or try
your offer never works very well, yet that’s what most people
try to do 😞😞
Leads 😉
When people reply favorably to your courting them in the
prospecting phase, they become a lead. Your job is to further
court them by offering a chance to deepen the relationship by
inviting them to take a measurable action. Some leads will
convert immediately; others will take time or never convert at
all.
This is like holding a door open for them with an invitation to
enter. You do this by “touching” them with communication on a
regular basis to see how they are doing, update them with new
features and results you are getting, offer them something of
value (such as a gift), wishing them a happy birthday, a Merry
Christmas, and so on.
Conversions / Clients 🤑
When leads convert, they become a client. To convert leads,
make it as easy as possible for them to sign up.
• Offer them a 90-day money-back guarantee

• Offer them a two-week free trial
• Offer them a special bonus (bundling)

• Create a price / value proposition that no one can beat.
The most important “golden rule” with clients: “touch” them
with communication ONCE PER WEEK, 50 times per year.
Even if they don’t respond, never let them feel neglected.
Dead / Inactive Clients 😵
HUGE MISTAKE to never communicate again with customers who
have discontinued your service; yet most companies do exactly that.
Previous users / clients that you worked with in the past should be
considered leads; in fact these are some of the best leads and the
most important ones as reactivating them can help grow your
business substantially.
So keep a list of your old / inactive clients and reach out to them
once per quarter (four times per year).

• “How are you doing?”

• Notify them of new features, ask them for referrals, and so on.
How to Start Marketing on
Any Given Day
More times than I can count I’ve spoken with entrepreneurs and
businesspeople who are trying ONE form of marketing and
complaining that they aren’t getting sales.
“I followed your advice and my Instagram grew by 12,000
followers. But these are not converting to sales on my website.”
“I’ve been running Facebook ads and it was working at first but
I can’t scale them.”

“My book got a lot of sales in the first two weeks and then
nothing. Self publishing books just can’t earn real money.”
You need to try at least FIVE things… and then be thinking about how
you can multiply those things that are working by another factor of
five… if you REALLY want to gain traction.
How will I reach 5 people?

How will I reach 25 people?

How will I reach 125 people?

How will I reach 625 people?

How will I reach 3,125 people?
5— Tell five friends about your product, or ask five clients for referrals.

25 — Send 25 direct messages on Facebook to targeted group members
(and then automate it with MassPlanner).

125 — Email a buyer list of 150 people. Or email 125 LinkedIn contacts
using Streak.

625 — Publish a post in a dozen Facebook groups. Or post to subreddits.

3,125 — Email your newsletter. If you don’t have one, ask other people to
mail to their newsletter and offer to split commissions.
My “Fast 5 Framework”
Why is this framework effective?
• Because having this framework in place prevents us from scattering our
focus all over the place. It frees up from having to make too many
decisions; we just execute the plan every single day.
• Because you never know which audiences or which efforts will perform
best… until you test out all of them.
• Because some activities are good for SALES & others for AWARENESS.
• Because it has built-in (realistic) expectations and goals from each effort.
• Because people will often ignore our offers the first time. Not every
promotion we post will reach everyone, and sometimes people need to
see a product or service SEVERAL times before they are ready to sign up.
• Because it’s impossible to win a race standing still. But if you push
enough and start to gain some momentum, soon that momentum
becomes a SURGE. A surge that is very hard to stop.
“In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are
useless, but planning is indispensable.” -Dwight Eisenhower
What is “Growth
Hacking?”
Growth hacks are usually a “secret advantage”
that people discover through experiments, by
accident, or from secret communities /
personal relationships with others who have
discovered them.
These are generally very hard to discover if you search for
them, because they are generally highly profitable and no one
wants to give away the goose that lays the golden eggs.
Taking massive action, implementing, and experimenting leads
to new gems being discovered in the mines of experience.
How to Hack Systems
“Marketing is a game of percentages, not perfection”
Automation Gives You
Superpowers
• It takes way too much time, money, and effort to
execute campaigns without help.

• We need to test to know what works. Reaching the
market quickly with our message is critical.

• To hack a system: Act, Sense, and Respond

• A few favorite marketing tools: Massplanner,
Followliker, PhantomBuster, BuzzBundle, Queue, Streak,
Dozens of Apps / Web based tools
Multiple sites/accounts build empires!
Massplanner /
Followliker
• I’ve built combined followings of more than a
million in just one year, 90% automated, using
Massplanner.

• These tools allow you to automate all of the
marketing grunt work.
• Works for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest,
LinkedIn, and more

Sending Direct Messages
Hacking LinkedIn
At the moment, LinkedIn is a fantastic platform for B2B
sales. Worked with a client to go from 20 to 200+ MRR
clients in one year from LinkedIn Leads.
• Modify profile into a landing page for one of your
offerings and add a clear call to action (e.g. “Send me
a connection invite for an introductory call”).

• Make sure the headline is extremely relevant to them
before we begin prospecting
Messaging Users

(Outbound Acquisition)
Find Message Interest Convert
You can approach people
directly or indirectly
Goal = Create Conversations / Relationships.
Outreach and onboarding: Engage, Build Rapport, Probe. If someone
responds and is interested, they are no longer a prospect but a lead to
follow up with.
Create scripts to use for responses.
Ask probing / rapport building question and invite people to respond:
“What are your goals with X?” “How did you get started with Y?” “What have
your challenges been with XYZ?”
Band-Aid formula: Identify a need that you can solve.
Partnership approach: Present clear value for a targeted group of people.
Automate as many “touches,”
targeted viewing, and connecting as
possible… and don’t be afraid to
have real conversations (with scripts)

This helps touch all of the bases and gets your
message out everywhere your prospects are.
The #1 Rule of Success:
FAIL 200 TIMES A DAY.
Follow this rule and you will
ALWAYS have prospects.
Marketing is a game of
percentages, not perfection.
The greatest marketers don’t succeed more often than
everyone else. They make more attempts than anyone else.

To succeed, double your rate of failure. Success = Learning.
It’s impossible to truly fail.

The key to becoming a master is to run promotions every
single day. If you don’t have enough of your own products to
promote, offer to perform services for clients.

Intro to Growth Hacking -- How to get your first 10 (or 100) clients

  • 3.
  • 4.
  • 5.
  • 8. Marketing is perhaps the most misunderstood and misused of business practices. Trillions of dollars are wasted each year.
  • 9. My Promise: In this workshop you’re going to learn powerful outreach and growth hacking strategies to generate non-stop prospects, leads, and customers Use this information wisely and responsibly 😤 😤
  • 10. Warning! Most advice is terrible It will leave you with no clue how to actually market a business successfully and gain loyal users and customers
  • 11. The Heart of Marketing: “All businesses grow from conversations.” Facilitating these conversations is marketing.
  • 12. The #1 way to grow any type of business Marketing is big business, in large companies whole departments are devoted to marketing. There are thousands of books about marketing. It is easy to get overwhelmed and get confused. To find clarity in the world of marketing, remember one thing: all businesses grow from conversations. It is that simple.

Facilitating these conversations is marketing. This can take place through any form of media — in-person, on the phone, in an ad, or in a piece of content. But the formula is very consistent and once you understand exactly how to create conversations that lead to sales (and delivering value to your market), then you are on the right path.
  • 13. Many marketers think the purpose of marketing on social media is just to sell, so they run Facebook ads. They’re stuck using outdated Web 1.0 methods - broadcasting vertically to its followers - rather than newer, more effective models of mutual interaction where brands and products are valued because they reinforce an individual user’s identity.
And as a result, many marketers and entrepreneurs alike hit a “wall” trying to market themselves on social media platforms and never really get past it.

Through combining white hat, best practice communication techniques with a little bit of gray hat automation, we can deploy VERY powerful campaigns to “hack” social media and gain maximum leverage at minimal cost. The most common mistake people marketing on social media
  • 14. The Core of Marketing Campaigns: (This makes things simple)
  • 15. Warning! Advertising can be dangerous. Ignore these steps at your own peril! !
  • 16. The #1 reason people fail with marketing People get so caught up in the media — the new shiny object or trend (such as FB ads, Snapchat, Instagram, SEO, and on and on) — that they want to ignore the basics of what creates a successful campaign in the first place. All marketing that was ever created has three elements to it (this is called the “Marketing Triangle”): Market (Who), Message (What), and Media (How).
  • 17. Market (Who) DEADLY MISTAKE: not defining a market! Each message has to be tailored to the market or we fail. One of the biggest mistakes people make is that they do not define their market clearly enough. You need to narrow this down as much as possible and first focus ONLY on the group of people who will most likely convert to your business. Targeting everyone, or targeting the wrong market, will waste your time and you won’t have much fun.
  • 18. • Every market is an insider community with its own language. Before you craft your message, you have to be one of them — speak the language they know. • Go where the users are: Huge communities on Amazon, Google, Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, ProductHunt, Newsletters, Craigslist, etc. etc. • FMIC - Find, Message, Interest, Convert.
  • 19. For best results, always be very precise about who (the market) your content (or website, or ad) is for
  • 23.
  • 24. Market Targeting to Find Leads (Quick Hands-On Example Using Instagram)
  • 25. Messages Crafting a great message is an art form. Each message has to be tailored to the A) media B) placement C) context D) market or it won’t be as effective as it could be. Most marketing messages are far too weak. Businesses sell with secondary benefits or things that don’t make sense. Don’t waste your prospect’s time. Paid traffic should be sent only to a landing page. Two types of campaigns: asynchronous and synchronous.
  • 26. Create a Killer Message in One Step: The “3AM Test” If you woke a person at three in the morning and delivered your message, would they care? Or would they beg to be let back to sleep?

  • 27. • You need to get people to stop scrolling their newsfeed, to rest their eyeballs on your video (or their landing page, or whatever), and to turn the volume on. • What we are really after is to cut through the noise. We are not competing with our competitors. We are competing for attention with everyone on Instagram, everyone on Snapchat, everyone posting on Facebook. • After we get their attention, we have to demonstrate that who we are and what we have to offer is: important to survival, to their reproduction, or helping the person get more of what they want (love, freedom, praise, attention, etc.) • It should also reinforce their identity (how they see themselves as or who they want to become). People share things that reinforce an identity they want to be associated with — they seem cool, educated, thoughtful, or funny to followers. Messages (synchronous)
  • 31.
  • 35. Messages (asynchronous) Goal = Create Conversations / Relationships. In general, do not present an offer until a user demonstrates interest or demonstrates a problem. Outreach and onboarding: Engage, Build Rapport, Probe. Ask a probing / rapport building question and invite people to respond: “What are your goals with X?” “How did you get started with Y?” “What have your challenges been with XYZ?” Band-Aid formula: Identify a need that you can solve.

  • 36. Messages (asynchronous) • The message varies depending on the media (Twitter: 140 characters, email is longer, Instagram doesn’t allow links, etc)
 • Each niche has it’s own “insider” secret language • People use social media to share, engage, connect — don’t sell at first; offer friendship, community, rapport • Always start/end your messages positively (eg positive email subject lines) — “anchors” you to pleasant feelings
 • In some contexts, such as PR, crowdfunding, video, etc. you have to sell your story even more than your product.

  • 38. Media • DEADLY MISTAKE: Many people think marketing is only THIS.

This is why so much time and money is wasted, such as spending years trying to rank in Google for non- converting keywords or spending millions on pointless Superbowl ads. • They think marketing = SEO, FB ads, software, etc. Amateurs only focus on “media" and mess up the other two sides of the marketing triangle. • All three need to be in sync or your marketing will fail.
  • 39. Media • Every media channel has different strengths / weaknesses. Some markets are more active on some, and less active on others. • Each media platform can be hacked (!) • Identify the opportunity and scale
 • Example: Airbnb grew by exploiting Craigslist’s already huge user base (Many other companies/entre- preneurs have done the same and also gotten very rich).
  • 40. Examples Client: Parenting App in UK Market: Parenting bloggers / influencers -
 #Mumbloggers / #Mummybloggers
Media: Twitter Message: “We’re recruiting parenting bloggers in the UK to curate emails. Commission based role. Care to discuss?”
Client: Hipster Neckties Market: Hipsters into Unique Fashion - #Dapper
Media: Instagram Message: Follow, like, comment: “Love your style,
it’s an inspiration! Do you follow trends or prefer to set your own?”

  • 41. Examples Client: Guesthouse in Chiang Mai, Thailand Market: Backpackers in Thailand - #AmazingThailand, #ThailandTrip, #KohSamui, #KohTao, etc.
Media: Instagram Message: “We love your photos of Thailand! If you’re ever in Chiang Mai, please visit us and have a free coffee on us. We would love to meet you!”
Market: Entrepreneurs / Online Business Owners - FB Groups — “Growth Hackers,” “Traffic and Copy,” etc.
Media: Facebook Message: “Hey John! I noticed we’re both members of the Growth Hackers group and wanted to reach out. How have your results been with growth hacking? I’m about to launch a new book called “Dr Growth” with my best hacks and looking to meet other growth hackers :) Take care”

  • 42. Customer Relationship Timeline (What I Track): I don’t track website visits, followers, or subscribers (I don’t particularly care). I track only these things in my marketing funnel: (These metrics are EVERYTHING) Prospects —> Leads —> Conversions / Clients —> Inactive Clients
  • 43. Prospects 😈 This is the act of getting people into your funnel. This is known as “cold” marketing. You are basically finding people who do not know you exist, and making an introduction, and an offer to connect. Big Mistake: “Drive by selling” — trying to get people who have no idea who you are to sign up for your service or try your offer never works very well, yet that’s what most people try to do 😞😞
  • 44. Leads 😉 When people reply favorably to your courting them in the prospecting phase, they become a lead. Your job is to further court them by offering a chance to deepen the relationship by inviting them to take a measurable action. Some leads will convert immediately; others will take time or never convert at all. This is like holding a door open for them with an invitation to enter. You do this by “touching” them with communication on a regular basis to see how they are doing, update them with new features and results you are getting, offer them something of value (such as a gift), wishing them a happy birthday, a Merry Christmas, and so on.
  • 45. Conversions / Clients 🤑 When leads convert, they become a client. To convert leads, make it as easy as possible for them to sign up. • Offer them a 90-day money-back guarantee
 • Offer them a two-week free trial • Offer them a special bonus (bundling)
 • Create a price / value proposition that no one can beat. The most important “golden rule” with clients: “touch” them with communication ONCE PER WEEK, 50 times per year. Even if they don’t respond, never let them feel neglected.
  • 46. Dead / Inactive Clients 😵 HUGE MISTAKE to never communicate again with customers who have discontinued your service; yet most companies do exactly that. Previous users / clients that you worked with in the past should be considered leads; in fact these are some of the best leads and the most important ones as reactivating them can help grow your business substantially. So keep a list of your old / inactive clients and reach out to them once per quarter (four times per year).

 • “How are you doing?”
 • Notify them of new features, ask them for referrals, and so on.
  • 47. How to Start Marketing on Any Given Day More times than I can count I’ve spoken with entrepreneurs and businesspeople who are trying ONE form of marketing and complaining that they aren’t getting sales. “I followed your advice and my Instagram grew by 12,000 followers. But these are not converting to sales on my website.” “I’ve been running Facebook ads and it was working at first but I can’t scale them.”
“My book got a lot of sales in the first two weeks and then nothing. Self publishing books just can’t earn real money.”
  • 48. You need to try at least FIVE things… and then be thinking about how you can multiply those things that are working by another factor of five… if you REALLY want to gain traction. How will I reach 5 people?
How will I reach 25 people?
How will I reach 125 people?
How will I reach 625 people?
How will I reach 3,125 people? 5— Tell five friends about your product, or ask five clients for referrals.
25 — Send 25 direct messages on Facebook to targeted group members (and then automate it with MassPlanner).
125 — Email a buyer list of 150 people. Or email 125 LinkedIn contacts using Streak.
625 — Publish a post in a dozen Facebook groups. Or post to subreddits.
3,125 — Email your newsletter. If you don’t have one, ask other people to mail to their newsletter and offer to split commissions. My “Fast 5 Framework”
  • 49. Why is this framework effective? • Because having this framework in place prevents us from scattering our focus all over the place. It frees up from having to make too many decisions; we just execute the plan every single day. • Because you never know which audiences or which efforts will perform best… until you test out all of them. • Because some activities are good for SALES & others for AWARENESS. • Because it has built-in (realistic) expectations and goals from each effort. • Because people will often ignore our offers the first time. Not every promotion we post will reach everyone, and sometimes people need to see a product or service SEVERAL times before they are ready to sign up. • Because it’s impossible to win a race standing still. But if you push enough and start to gain some momentum, soon that momentum becomes a SURGE. A surge that is very hard to stop. “In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.” -Dwight Eisenhower
  • 51. Growth hacks are usually a “secret advantage” that people discover through experiments, by accident, or from secret communities / personal relationships with others who have discovered them. These are generally very hard to discover if you search for them, because they are generally highly profitable and no one wants to give away the goose that lays the golden eggs. Taking massive action, implementing, and experimenting leads to new gems being discovered in the mines of experience.
  • 52. How to Hack Systems “Marketing is a game of percentages, not perfection”
  • 53. Automation Gives You Superpowers • It takes way too much time, money, and effort to execute campaigns without help.
 • We need to test to know what works. Reaching the market quickly with our message is critical.

 • To hack a system: Act, Sense, and Respond
 • A few favorite marketing tools: Massplanner, Followliker, PhantomBuster, BuzzBundle, Queue, Streak, Dozens of Apps / Web based tools Multiple sites/accounts build empires!
  • 54. Massplanner / Followliker • I’ve built combined followings of more than a million in just one year, 90% automated, using Massplanner.

 • These tools allow you to automate all of the marketing grunt work. • Works for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and more
  • 60. Where to find more…?
  • 61.
  • 63.
  • 64.
  • 65.
  • 71. At the moment, LinkedIn is a fantastic platform for B2B sales. Worked with a client to go from 20 to 200+ MRR clients in one year from LinkedIn Leads. • Modify profile into a landing page for one of your offerings and add a clear call to action (e.g. “Send me a connection invite for an introductory call”).
 • Make sure the headline is extremely relevant to them before we begin prospecting
  • 72.
  • 73.
  • 75. You can approach people directly or indirectly Goal = Create Conversations / Relationships. Outreach and onboarding: Engage, Build Rapport, Probe. If someone responds and is interested, they are no longer a prospect but a lead to follow up with. Create scripts to use for responses. Ask probing / rapport building question and invite people to respond: “What are your goals with X?” “How did you get started with Y?” “What have your challenges been with XYZ?” Band-Aid formula: Identify a need that you can solve. Partnership approach: Present clear value for a targeted group of people.
  • 76. Automate as many “touches,” targeted viewing, and connecting as possible… and don’t be afraid to have real conversations (with scripts)
  • 77. My “Fast Five” Framework More Info: medium.com/@dandanflood • How do I reach 5 people with my message? • How do I reach 25 people with my message? • How do I reach 125 people with my message? • How do I reach 625 people with my message? • How do I reach 3,125 people with my message? This helps touch all of the bases and gets your message out everywhere your prospects are.
  • 78. The #1 Rule of Success: FAIL 200 TIMES A DAY. Follow this rule and you will ALWAYS have prospects.
  • 79. Marketing is a game of percentages, not perfection. The greatest marketers don’t succeed more often than everyone else. They make more attempts than anyone else.

To succeed, double your rate of failure. Success = Learning. It’s impossible to truly fail.
The key to becoming a master is to run promotions every single day. If you don’t have enough of your own products to promote, offer to perform services for clients.
