2. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF INTERNSHIP
While joining Axis Bank, I wanted to learn as much as possible. I knew that an internship is an opportunity to learn which helps us put the theories we learnt in the books into practice. It will help us build our career. It is the period when we will be able to groom ourselves and become ready to join the real world. During the internship period, I had planned to achieve the following goals:
• To learn about the overall function of different departments of Axis Bank (ABL) namely Customer Service Department (CSD), Credit Department and Operations in brief.

1. OBJECTIVE OF REPORT:
Department of Human Resource of ABPL demands every internee to go a process of 2 month
internship program and to submitted report based on the observations and work done during the
training process. It is actually the review of any organization currently running its business, having its
competitors .The study of the functions of the human resources department is the main purpose of
this internship. It is also meant for finding the weaknesses and shortcomings and then giving the
suggestions for improvement.
2. PREFACE:
Role of banking sector in services industry is known to everyone. So Albaraka Bank Pakistan ltd is an
organization which is finalized as my concerned organization because this is mainly performing a lot
of services (islamic services) in all over the Globalization. As this was my first ever practical
experience. A started the working state that. I am wonder how to start it but now when I am writing
these lines by the "Grace of God" My final report is finalized. The little incidents which took place
during the preparation of this report are now part of my life memories.
This report is the upshot of may two months internship in AlBaraka Bank Pakistan ltd. Human
Resource Department Head Office, Karachi. Possess, imperative and historical importance in the
banking sector of Pakistan. This Report is specially meant for the student of BBA (HRM). It is
concerned to a brief study of the operation, Function, tasks and services of Human
Resource Department of Albaraka Bank Pakistan Limited.
I am thankful to the officers and staff of Albaraka bank Pakistan Ltd for being kindly, friendlily,
cooperatives and patronizing towards me during the period of my internship with them.

The manner in which the functions of banking, that is the acquiring of deposits, the investing or
converting such deposits into earning assets, and the servicing of such deposits, are performed.
The degree to which officers and employees contribute their talents to the progress and welfare
of the bank in discharging duties and responsibilities
Further, Finally I give an individually opinion to the Features, function, operation and tasking of ABPL HRM
Department and define some FEATURES are as under:
1. GOOD WORK ENVIRONMENT:
As the work environment plays a great role in this competition age, so the bank has good work
environment. All the people work with cooperation; managers are so kind that each problem can be
discussed with them. Diversity is central to the nature of their business. As a global organization,
caters to the needs of diverse consumers. This is only possible due to the diverse backgrounds
and interests of their people and their firm commitment to embracing diversity at all levels.
When they employ staff, they make a commitment to provide them with good working conditions.
2. EFFICIENCY:
Human Power is a main resource of any organization it use allocate the resources with efficiently and

7. EMPLOYEES RECRUIMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS:
The policy & objective of HR department in employees recruitment & selection process is intended at
identifying and choosing the right hand for the right job and ensuring an effective and efficient
method of recruitment and selection. It is also aimed at seeking a diversified work force, devoid of
any discrimination based on race, color, Gender, Nationality, ancestry, religion or disability, in
certain cases.It is the bank’s policy to implement an appropriate; recruitment system based on careful
determination of the required competency & selection methods with efficient means of
communication with candidates.
All Bank’s recruitment will be done through the Human Resources Department in
Consultation with the Manager / Head of the concerned Department.
Use available sources of recruiting such as internal recruiting or external recruiting.
The qualifications and demographic variables of the applicant shall be based upon the
knowledge, skills and aptitude required to perform the job.
After An applicants knowledge, skill and aptitude related to the position shall be judged

After observing this ABPL very closely and its HR department in particular, following outcomes have
been concluded.
o Organization exist when two or more people work towards achieving common goals. An organization
can never be better then the people hires it. Hence to get of the best of best employees. because
performance of the employees reflect company image and standing in the market. Better the quality
of employees better the perfoemance of the company.
o There are various techniques and methods that the management goes through, in order to run this
organzation to stay the top. Abpl should be doing adopted modern and latest human resource
management concept and they have been able to keep their employees satisfied and happy for so
many years.
o Now finally this reported is highlighted different aspect of human resource management such as
Recruiting, selection and training, function,operation assesment of employees along with personnel
recommnedation and procedures that might be useful for the “ALBARAKA BANK
(PAKISTAN) LIMITED”.
