1. OBJECTIVE OF REPORT:
Department of Human Resource of ABPL demands every internee to go a process of 2 month
internship program and to submitted report based on the observations and work done during the
training process. It is actually the review of any organization currently running its business, having its
competitors .The study of the functions of the human resources department is the main purpose of
this internship. It is also meant for finding the weaknesses and shortcomings and then giving the
suggestions for improvement.
2. PREFACE:
Role of banking sector in services industry is known to everyone. So Albaraka Bank Pakistan ltd is an
organization which is finalized as my concerned organization because this is mainly performing a lot
of services (islamic services) in all over the Globalization. As this was my first ever practical
experience. A started the working state that. I am wonder how to start it but now when I am writing
these lines by the "Grace of God" My final report is finalized. The little incidents which took place
during the preparation of this report are now part of my life memories.
This report is the upshot of may two months internship in AlBaraka Bank Pakistan ltd. Human
Resource Department Head Office, Karachi. Possess, imperative and historical importance in the
banking sector of Pakistan. This Report is specially meant for the student of BBA (HRM). It is
concerned to a brief study of the operation, Function, tasks and services of Human
Resource Department of Albaraka Bank Pakistan Limited.
I am thankful to the officers and staff of Albaraka bank Pakistan Ltd for being kindly, friendlily,
cooperatives and patronizing towards me during the period of my internship with them.

3. ACKNOWLEDGMENT:
First of all a great thanks to Almighty Allah, the Billions of Darood upon Muhammad (S.A.W) Last
Prophet of Allah who is the savior of humanity.Who enable me to complete this task and then I am
thankfull to my Respected Staff. Our department for providing such a friendly atmosphere and
guideline during two month stay at the not only for the Academic Affairs but all other social and
future prospective by sharing their remarkable experiences.
It was such a pleasant Experience to Work in Albaraka Bank Pakistan ltd it own my gratitude and
thankful to all those who helped me in preparing this internship Report by sharing there best of
knowledge.The internship study report of the HRM Department of Albaraka Bank Pakistan Limited.
Salute to the marvelous management of ABPL-HR, to have such a thought provoking activity in form
of this compulsory internship report.It is due to endless efforts of my friends and fellow members at
Albaraka Bank Pakistan ltd who provided me every favor and the last but not the least who have
always been a source of inspection for me.
The last of may acknowledgement is due to may beloved parent, loving brothers and my will wishers,
whose sacrifices , forbearance and cooperation made it all of this to materialize. All the above
helped met to accomplish this task for which I am thankful to all of them and pray for there will being

It is the Function of management recruiting,selecing,trainning & Counceling, C&B analysis and law of
human resource is called Human resource Management. In own word doing Analysis of a job need, of
an organizaion and make a job description and job specification and hiring a person. Why and How

5. OVERVIEW OF AN ORGANIZATION:
With a vision for unrivaled services, dedication to Islamic principles of banking, increasing network
points, and innovative product line, Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited is committed to the Banking
Industry in Pakistan.
Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited (ABPL) is the result of a merger between Al Baraka Islamic Bank
Pakistan (AIBP), the branch operations of Al Baraka Islamic Bank (AIB) Bahrain and Emirates Global
Islamic Bank (Pakistan). The merged entity commenced operations on November 1st 2010.
The merger, a first in the Islamic Banking sector in Pakistan, positions ABPL to play an important role
in further growing an industry which has witnessed tremendous growth over the last 12 years.
With assets in excess of Rs. 90 billion; a workforce of 1700 professionals and a network of 135
branches in 82 cities and towns across Pakistan, Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited is devoted in
providing customers with a range of Shariah compliant products to suit theirbanking needs, Al Baraka
Bank (Pakistan) Limited, offers a wide array of Islamic financing products such as Murabaha, Ijarah,
Musharakah and Islamic Export Refinance etc., catering to a diverse cross-section of the economy
including the Corporate, SME and Consumer sectors. it is part of ABPL’s commitment, to put the
customer’s values foremost, hence providing them with a banking solution that is in line with their
beliefs.

6. HUMAN RESOUCE DEPARTMENT OF ABPL:
A Successful and profitable banking managementdependson two principal factors.
 The manner in which the functions of banking, that is the acquiring of deposits, the investing or
converting such deposits into earning assets, and the servicing of such deposits, are performed.
 The degree to which officers and employees contribute their talents to the progress and welfare
of the bank in discharging duties and responsibilities
Further, Finally I give an individually opinion to the Features, function, operation and tasking of ABPL HRM
Department and define some FEATURES are as under:
1. GOOD WORK ENVIRONMENT:
As the work environment plays a great role in this competition age, so the bank has good work
environment. All the people work with cooperation; managers are so kind that each problem can be
discussed with them. Diversity is central to the nature of their business. As a global organization,
caters to the needs of diverse consumers. This is only possible due to the diverse backgrounds
and interests of their people and their firm commitment to embracing diversity at all levels.
When they employ staff, they make a commitment to provide them with good working conditions.
2. EFFICIENCY:
Human Power is a main resource of any organization it use allocate the resources with efficiently and
effectivelyitisa big task of any organization. Employeesof ABPL are quite efficient.itsemployees have
ability to bring their bank among the list of good banks. Therefore, they work more than their
working hours and it is all according to their will. It also shows their loyalty, commitment to
organization.
3. TRAINING, GROWTH & LEARNING:
In training, Focus on current job and present oriented. In development, Focus on Future oriented and
personnel growth. To Evalute the training how its effectiveness now as define kirk patricks Model are
as:
a) Level one – Reaction: Take pre-interview and asking or Evalute it how to learn this training.
b) Level Two – Learning: Take pre & post test and compare it.
c) Level Three-Behaviour: After training how to apply a job of behaviour and training.
d) Level Four- Result: Organization Evalute Training effectiveness and compare cost & ROI
If organization want to employment growth & improvement. Organization should be increase a
compensation & rewards are as under:
a) Participation in Decision Making
b) Self Working
c) Job Freedom
d) More responsibility
e) Personnel growth opportunity
f) Diversity of activity.

7. EMPLOYEES RECRUIMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS:
The policy & objective of HR department in employees recruitment & selection process is intended at
identifying and choosing the right hand for the right job and ensuring an effective and efficient
method of recruitment and selection. It is also aimed at seeking a diversified work force, devoid of
any discrimination based on race, color, Gender, Nationality, ancestry, religion or disability, in
certain cases.It is the bank’s policy to implement an appropriate; recruitment system based on careful
determination of the required competency & selection methods with efficient means of
communication with candidates.
 All Bank’s recruitment will be done through the Human Resources Department in
Consultation with the Manager / Head of the concerned Department.
 Use available sources of recruiting such as internal recruiting or external recruiting.
 The qualifications and demographic variables of the applicant shall be based upon the
knowledge, skills and aptitude required to perform the job.
 After An applicants knowledge, skill and aptitude related to the position shall be judged
according to factors such as, but not limited to, his / her:
 Employees selection process ABPL against the vacant position for following criteria:
 Candidate must be business Graduated.
 Candidate not less then 18 year age and not exceed more than 35 year age
 Candidate must be a citizen of Pakistan
 Now doing selection fulfil legal requirement below it:
a) Joining pack/Education (Academic / Professionals)
b) Previous Experience
c) Intelligence tests / Psychometric Assessment.
d) Interviews.
e) Appoinment/Offer letter (In Case of Bank contract, Done in 3 year bond)
f) Interviews
g) Final short listing
h) Verification of documents
i) Posting training
j) Test
k) References.
l) ABPL also demand release letter, pay slip before selection.

8. CONCLUSION:
After observing this ABPL very closely and its HR department in particular, following outcomes have
been concluded.
o Organization exist when two or more people work towards achieving common goals. An organization
can never be better then the people hires it. Hence to get of the best of best employees. because
performance of the employees reflect company image and standing in the market. Better the quality
of employees better the perfoemance of the company.
o There are various techniques and methods that the management goes through, in order to run this
organzation to stay the top. Abpl should be doing adopted modern and latest human resource
management concept and they have been able to keep their employees satisfied and happy for so
many years.
o Now finally this reported is highlighted different aspect of human resource management such as
Recruiting, selection and training, function,operation assesment of employees along with personnel
recommnedation and procedures that might be useful for the “ALBARAKA BANK
(PAKISTAN) LIMITED”.

OBJECTIVE OF REPORT: Department of Human Resource of ABPL demands every internee to go a process of 2 month internship program and to submitted report based on the observations and work done during the training process. It is actually the review of any organization currently running its business, having its competitors .The study of the functions of the human resources department is the main purpose of this internship. It is also meant for finding the weaknesses and shortcomings and then giving the suggestions for improvement. 2. PREFACE: Role of banking sector in services industry is known to everyone. So Albaraka Bank Pakistan ltd is an organization which is finalized as my concerned organization because this is mainly performing a lot of services (islamic services) in all over the Globalization. As this was my first ever practical experience. A started the working state that. I am wonder how to start it but now when I am writing these lines by the "Grace of God" My final report is finalized. The little incidents which took place during the preparation of this report are now part of my life memories. This report is the upshot of may two months internship in AlBaraka Bank Pakistan ltd. Human Resource Department Head Office, Karachi. Possess, imperative and historical importance in the banking sector of Pakistan. This Report is specially meant for the student of BBA (HRM). It is concerned to a brief study of the operation, Function, tasks and services of Human Resource Department of Albaraka Bank Pakistan Limited. I am thankful to the officers and staff of Albaraka bank Pakistan Ltd for being kindly, friendlily, cooperatives and patronizing towards me during the period of my internship with them.

HUMAN RESOUCE DEPARTMENT OF ABPL: A Successful and profitable banking managementdependson two principal factors.  The manner in which the functions of banking, that is the acquiring of deposits, the investing or converting such deposits into earning assets, and the servicing of such deposits, are performed.  The degree to which officers and employees contribute their talents to the progress and welfare of the bank in discharging duties and responsibilities Further, Finally I give an individually opinion to the Features, function, operation and tasking of ABPL HRM Department and define some FEATURES are as under: 1. GOOD WORK ENVIRONMENT: As the work environment plays a great role in this competition age, so the bank has good work environment. All the people work with cooperation; managers are so kind that each problem can be discussed with them. Diversity is central to the nature of their business. As a global organization, caters to the needs of diverse consumers. This is only possible due to the diverse backgrounds and interests of their people and their firm commitment to embracing diversity at all levels. When they employ staff, they make a commitment to provide them with good working conditions. 2. EFFICIENCY: Human Power is a main resource of any organization it use allocate the resources with efficiently and effectivelyitisa big task of any organization. Employeesof ABPL are quite efficient.itsemployees have ability to bring their bank among the list of good banks. Therefore, they work more than their working hours and it is all according to their will. It also shows their loyalty, commitment to organization. 3. TRAINING, GROWTH & LEARNING: In training, Focus on current job and present oriented. In development, Focus on Future oriented and personnel growth. To Evalute the training how its effectiveness now as define kirk patricks Model are as: a) Level one – Reaction: Take pre-interview and asking or Evalute it how to learn this training. b) Level Two – Learning: Take pre & post test and compare it. c) Level Three-Behaviour: After training how to apply a job of behaviour and training. d) Level Four- Result: Organization Evalute Training effectiveness and compare cost & ROI If organization want to employment growth & improvement. EMPLOYEES RECRUIMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS: The policy & objective of HR department in employees recruitment & selection process is intended at identifying and choosing the right hand for the right job and ensuring an effective and efficient method of recruitment and selection. It is also aimed at seeking a diversified work force, devoid of any discrimination based on race, color, Gender, Nationality, ancestry, religion or disability, in certain cases.It is the bank’s policy to implement an appropriate; recruitment system based on careful determination of the required competency & selection methods with efficient means of communication with candidates.  All Bank’s recruitment will be done through the Human Resources Department in Consultation with the Manager / Head of the concerned Department.  Use available sources of recruiting such as internal recruiting or external recruiting.  The qualifications and demographic variables of the applicant shall be based upon the knowledge, skills and aptitude required to perform the job.  After An applicants knowledge, skill and aptitude related to the position shall be judged according to factors such as, but not limited to, his / her:  Employees selection process ABPL against the vacant position for following criteria:  Candidate must be business Graduated.  Candidate not less then 18 year age and not exceed more than 35 year age  Candidate must be a citizen of Pakistan  Now doing selection fulfil legal requirement below it: a) Joining pack/Education (Academic / Professionals) b) Previous Experience c) Intelligence tests / Psychometric Assessment. d) Interviews. e) Appoinment/Offer letter (In Case of Bank contract, Done in 3 year bond) f) Interviews g) Final short listing h) Verification of documents i) Posting training j) Test k) References. l) ABPL also demand release letter, pay slip before selection.

CONCLUSION: After observing this ABPL very closely and its HR department in particular, following outcomes have been concluded. o Organization exist when two or more people work towards achieving common goals. An organization can never be better then the people hires it. Hence to get of the best of best employees. because performance of the employees reflect company image and standing in the market. Better the quality of employees better the perfoemance of the company. o There are various techniques and methods that the management goes through, in order to run this organzation to stay the top. Abpl should be doing adopted modern and latest human resource management concept and they have been able to keep their employees satisfied and happy for so many years. o Now finally this reported is highlighted different aspect of human resource management such as Recruiting, selection and training, function,operation assesment of employees along with personnel recommnedation and procedures that might be useful for the “ALBARAKA BANK (PAKISTAN) LIMITED”.
