The Heartland Institute internship provides a 10-week paid editorial internship requiring 20 hours of work per week for $150. Interns will report to the Executive Editor and assist with policy research, proofreading publications, formatting documents for print and web, and editing articles under the supervision of the Executive Editor. Responsibilities include proofreading letters, op-eds, research papers and formatting books, briefs, and newsletters for publication online and in email. Expected skills are an interest in public policy, experience with Word and HTML, strong written communication skills, and attention to detail.
