This document discusses internet relationships in China and how communication technologies have changed relationships. It describes how online games, social media, chat sites, and blogs provide opportunities for people to meet and communicate online. Internet relationships started in the late 20th century as Generation Y became familiar with computers and the internet. These online relationships sometimes develop into real-life relationships and show similarities to traditional relationships in how people meet and get to know each other online before potentially developing feelings. While internet relationships were initially controversial, over time as internet use increased they became more commonly accepted in China.

The response of the authorities has been without precedent - the US has a new president, and perhaps confidence in the new administration may stave off the worst consequences of the epidemic contagion of fear - for now, at least. It is certain that for the time being we shall avoid the 29-33 collapse that was associated with every sovereign issuer in Europe except Britain, and much of Latin America and Asia defaulting as well as large numbers of banks in the US (in the days before deposit insurance).

Is it possible to imagine a planet of connected loners? Is it possible for us to be together yet completely distant from one another? Are we building or breaking down our interpersonal relations, increasingly more frequent today via electronic interfaces? On the other hand, our society experiences a moment of transition, especially in the major cities, where more and more people are living by themselves.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

8. Here is the explanation of “Internet Relationships” from
Wikipedia
“Internet relationships are interpersonal
relationships, including intimate relationships,
between people who have met online, and in
many cases know each other only via the
Internet. Online relationships are similar in many
ways to pen pal relationships.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_romance
10. Normal RELATIONSHIP (love) pattern

11. Internet relationship pattern
Meet different peoples
↓
Talking, knowing each other
Find common in each other
Share photos videos with each other
↓
Feel good towards each other
↓
More talks, more contacts,
↓
If possible, real life contacts as well as
online life
↓
Going in to the real life pattern
12. Find some commons in these two?
Yes, that is my point.
Because of the rapid development of the fast speed
broadband, and more and more interactive communication
ways on the internet, people are able to meet, communicate
and know each other online more and more like real life.
For most of us, internet is just like a media, another way of
meet new people whom may have the same interests as
you, whom may have the same career as you, whom may
have the same taste of life as you. Online game, social
networking sites, bbs, online chatting software and blogging
sites are the Medias, creates that provide the opportunities
for people who have lots online life.
The internet relationship starts in the late 20th century,
when our generation (gene Y) becomes teenager, and starts
familiar with computer, mobile phone and internet these
technologies. It gets popular in the early 21st century,
especially in China.
13. “After 80th”
----the “middle gene Y” in China
“After 80th” is a common term for people who were
born in between 1980~1989 in China.
It is also the generation that witnesses the outbreaks
of the internet culture in China.
The technologies brought a new life to us, new game,
online virtual life, a world without landmark.
It changes our life, also changes the relationships that
we have with others.
14. In the early period of blooming of the
internet relationships
People argued about the pros and
cons of the internet relationships.
Especially older generation who
can’t accept internet as we do. It
even is regarded as “bad thing”.
But still there were some people
look at this thing in the other way.
The famous web novel “the First
Intimate Contact” which was
published in 1998 in mainland China,
it was the very first novel which
talked about the internet
relationships in China, most of the
“After 80th” have read it and loved
it. It also had adapted into a film.
15. In the reality
Later due to the development of the internet, and
increasing number of the internet user, more and
more people had experienced this new type of
relationship online.
There are bad consequences, but not all, some
good stories were passed on the internet, and
people start to believe that internet is just
another way of meeting people.
But still, there are some different points of views
about this phenomenon.
16. The “culprit” that
brings the changes
There’s no doubt that Technologies are the “culprit”
of these changes.
The flourishing of the online game, social networking
sites, bbs, online chatting software and blogging sites
shortened the distance between people, they provide
the platform for the communication, also the
development of these technologies create the
interactive communication between people, not liner
communication.
17. The problems are……
How these technologies change the
realty?
For what reason this happened?
And what will be the future of this
phenomenon look like?
That is something…
