Nursing students as agents of change: Empowering patients using mobile technology for health promotion. Presented by Sally Britnell, School of Health Care Practice, AUT University, at HINZ 2014, 11 November 2014, 12pm, Plenary Room 2
Connected information technology has the potential to drive service integration and accountability in aged care, but several challenges must be addressed. As the global population ages, joint public and private sector approaches are needed to meet the increasing needs of older adults who require support. While connectivity could allow information sharing to improve care coordination and quality management, assumptions about how service integration will unfold should be examined. True potential will only be achieved through concurrent policy changes, funding, organizational development, and systems changes at all levels.
This document discusses the importance of physician leadership in clinical information system projects based on diffusion of innovation theory and past research. It finds that effective clinical leadership involves identifying physician innovators and champions to communicate the shared vision, as well as establishing formal clinical leadership roles like the CMIO. It recommends training initiatives to develop physician leadership skills and facilitating their leadership roles beyond just titles. Ongoing, distributed leadership is needed from innovators to the late majority as new technologies diffuse.
The gravitational potential of a diatomic system 2-3IAEME Publication
1. The paper derives the gravitational potential and Schrodinger equation for a diatomic molecule system in spherical coordinates.
2. The potential and equation take into account the vibrational and translational energies and masses of the diatomic molecule, which depend on temperature.
3. Expressions for the total mass, vibrational mass, translational mass, and gravitational potential of the diatomic system are obtained, accounting for temperature dependence. The resulting Schrodinger equation is also derived.
The document discusses the results of a study on the impact of COVID-19 lockdowns on air pollution. The study found that lockdowns led to significant short-term reductions in nitrogen dioxide and fine particulate matter pollution globally as human activity declined. However, the improvements were temporary and air quality returned to pre-pandemic levels as restrictions eased and activity increased again.
This document discusses the Patients First program which aims to enable transformation in general practice in New Zealand. The program will focus on governance, clinical quality indicators, primary care management systems requirements, evaluating clinical pathways tools, safe medication management in primary care, electronic transfer of patient records between general practices, and emerging trends driving primary care. It provides an overview of the scope and deliverables for various work streams and indicates timeframes will be determined.
The document summarizes the key aspects of an eReferrals project including the benefits, challenges, and next steps. It notes that the project aimed to address issues with the paper referral system like lost referrals, duplication, and delays. However, implementing the electronic system presented difficulties including variability between medical practices, integration challenges, and process issues. While there were benefits to patients and clinicians, the rollout faced problems and the system had limitations. Stakeholders are now looking at ways to improve internal and external referrals going forward, including following national standards and sharing referrals regionally.
This document summarizes New Zealand's progress toward developing a national electronic health record system by 2014. It outlines key pieces that have been implemented, including electronic clinical transactions between general practices and other providers. However, fully interoperable electronic health records across all providers have not been achieved. The summary identifies next steps needed, such as personal provider authentication, electronic prescribing, enabling real-time queries of general practice medical records, and linking patient identification numbers to registered general practitioners.
The document discusses the challenges public health services face with information systems. It notes that public health works at the population level to address health determinants and prevent illness through partnerships. However, information systems are often designed for personal health records and clinical management rather than public health's broader evidence base and longer timeframes. Standardization can override flexibility if not carefully managed. The document proposes several principles for effective public health information systems, including having business needs drive systems, enabling information exchange through standards, and keeping line-level data close to where it is used.
This document summarizes the transition from clinical information systems to health grids and the future of health research infrastructure. It discusses trends like rising populations in Asia, increasing resource scarcity, and the need for multidisciplinary and open collaboration. Health grids are presented as enabling virtual collaborations across institutions. Key areas like medical imaging, computational models, and genomic medicine are highlighted. Adoption challenges and requirements like reliable, usable infrastructure are also summarized.

It is a privilege to present our annual report to you. We have had another incredible year of Change Agent Magic - contributing our special puzzle piece to crime prevention and diversion in our beautiful South Africa.
It moves my soul to experience how those we journey with allow themselves the experience of awakening to more of themselves and a deeper sense of purpose. I often say to our students:
>>Do not underestimate the ripple of your awakening<<
We experience its heartwarming impact on how we live and (un)learn together. A living and (un)learning that is authentic and kind… that is generous… that is honest and transparent… that stretches and encourages… that heals our wounds and edits our old stories. It is a living and (un)learning that allows the student their own unique path… also the tough patches! There is nothing more liberating than >>walking the plank<< of a perception!
Come with me. Experience the unique unfolding of a Change Agent Journey. Students awakening to their inner coach, healer and guide and firing up their entrepreneurial spirit all while assisting and guiding others to do the same.
In Gratitude

In five years, she hopes to open a writing academy school for talented young writers.
This article discusses the importance of investing in your own well-being. It argues that just as businesses must carefully maintain their assets, individuals must also take care of their greatest asset - themselves. Failure to do so can lead to issues like depression, illness, and relationship problems. Well-being involves balancing physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual health. It is easy to let work and family overwhelm you, but maintaining balance is important for your own health and those around you. The keys to well-being are avoiding overworking, maintaining good social connections, managing stress, eating well, exercising, and engaging in meaningful activities.

3. Note from the Facilitator, Karen Theresa Cowderoy
Love Project is organic in its being. I had come into my own Health and Healing
Practise through Art-making and I knew in my heart this would help our
marginalized youth , even if just give to them an option that there may be
another way, so I pitched it as a pilot project for research and documentation.
I just show up and invite our youth to explore mediums and make products
which they are able to sell at our events and earn 100 % of what they sell, giving them a little money. Artists have great barriers and myths around them over
money and I just wanted to model that you can make money with your Art practise. I am more interested in the bottom line of a smile though.
We have had great success as our community partners also believe in accessibility to Art for Health and Wellness, and we keep growing. Over a year ago Love
project implemented a Women and Art Program first at the Women’s Support Network and then the Georgina Art Gallery. Same idea and model had already
been proven to work. In turn, Our Women and Art supported Youth and Art and helped us by donation to achieve many more success: The Pan-Am Cultural
Pavilion for 17days with the Mississauga of New Credit and Suzanne Smoke and The 3rd
Power of Art National Forum in which our youth participated in the
Cultural Integration and Community Instructions Workshop in Ottawa.
What a gift it has been.
Love Project: Women and Art / Love Project: Youth, continue to show up make Art and to engage in a Creative Process.
As it is a free model, we are grateful to Salvation Army Sutton Youth Shelter and Belinda’s Place / Women’s Support network of York Region, / Suzanne Smoke:
Biindigen Youth Council, York Region festival Alliance . York Region Arts Council for all your support. Who provide art supplies and materials and space. A Spe-
cial Thank You to the Town of Georgina and the Economic Development Grant. Our Community members and business who also donate supplies and our silent
auctions. Also we thank our cherished volunteer’s and Art teachers and Louise Vahey for her tireless help and collaboration with the event process.
If you would like to donate monetarily, a receipt can be issued by The Salvation Army for over $20.00. or more Please just put Love Project Program on

8. Love Anyways
As I build some self esteem and confi-
dence, and learn to like my self and oth-
ers by creating, I overcome fear by be-
ing vulnerable, open and excited.
The more I practise over coming obsta-
cles. The stronger I become. I can cre-
ate , I can believe in my self and others.

9. Action and Creating Engagement
Molding clay for 10 minutes— 3 dimensional
When we are hands on with our mediums, we give our self time
to have a new experience. When we are in the now, in the mo-
ment ,we are happy.
So the discipline and practise making art gives us a respite from
our troubles.

Dare to Dream
As women, we spend a lot of time
helping others, our families and
doing our jobs. In this, there is not
much time to Dream. We need to
visualize our Dream Our Goal.
We need to want something for
ourselves. The 10 minute Creative
Challenge allows us 10 minutes to
practice a new or dominant behav-
ior—Giving Ourselves Permission to
Create.
Allowing ourselves to explore
mediums, to engage in having a little
fun.
To share with others in a safe and se-
cure space.
It is like fanning a flame, to a tiny em-
ber. The Creative Process ignites the
ember, and off you go inspired,
creating and being well and a few
moments of joy and happiness.

Measuring Outcomes: In regards to social media, Love project ca Facebook page, Loveproject Facebook group; Women and Art and Creative ideas page
and International Women’s Day group are the ongoing documentation of process. These pages are the collection of evidence based outcomes and data collect-
ed and researched by Karen Cowderoy on youth involvement, women involvement, community involvement, and community collaborations and new formed
partnerships. We believe that these are truly amazing outcomes.
