International students at Humber College face challenges obtaining on-campus jobs due to budget limitations in the work-study program. The work-study program only funds jobs for domestic and permanent resident students, not international students. As a result, international students are often not considered for on-campus jobs that require work-study eligibility. An international student interviewed discussed facing discrimination, as her previous international experience was not counted by employers and she was denied a promotion due to not being work-study eligible.
