601B and 601SB
Overview
With the steady transition to SDI outputs in today's high
performance broadcast equipment, the ability to extend operating
distance while maintaining signal integrity is easily solved using
the 601B or 601SB serial digital video fiber link. Production
environments designed as digital islands, with audio embedded
into the SDI signal are also supported by the 601B and 601SB.
Applicable Standards
The 601B and 601SB units conform to CCIR 601 and
SMPTE 259M standards. The 601B passes the SDI
signal with the optional embedded audio signal.
Superior Diagnostics
The SMARTS™ diagnostic technology provides built-
in diagnostic tools including LEDs that monitor the
operating status of the video and optical signals.
Standard Features
• One-way video transmission over one multimode or
single mode fiber
• Accommodates serial digital video with imbedded audio
• Conforms to SMPTE 259M and CCIR 601 digital video standards
• SMPTE 310, DVB/ASI compatible
• 10 dB optical budget
• Operating distance 8.9 miles (14 km)
• Standalone configuration
