The AOT-03-1550 is a 1550nm direct modulation DWDM optical transmitter that uses a high performance DFB laser and optional DWDM wavelengths. It features low chirp to maximize signal quality over long fiber lengths and linearity to minimize degradation of QAM channels. It supports ITU wavelength standards to reduce fiber and equipment needs in cable networks. Key specifications include an operating bandwidth of 45-870/1000MHz, RF return loss of 16dB or more, and a CNR of 51dB or higher at 0dBm optical input over 10km fiber carrying 60 PAL-D channels.

AOT-03-1550 adopts a high performance 1550nm DFB laser with optional Dense
Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (DWDM). Combined with ACE® patented full
frequency pre-distortion circuit, it features low adiabatic chirp to maximize
signal quality in short and long lengths of fiber, and excellent inherent linearity
to minimize degradation of the broadcast signals caused by QAM channels
AOT-03-1550 supports standard ITU wavelengths. It reduces cable network
architecture fiber needs and lessens equipment requirements in the hub.
