The document summarizes the results of the GrowSmarter project, which tested 11 smart city measures across three cities - Stockholm, Barcelona, and Cologne. The measures included smart street lighting to reduce energy usage by 21-31%, smart waste collection and converting waste to energy in Stockholm, and a big open data platform to integrate sensor and other city data. Lampposts and traffic posts were used as hubs for communication networks and electrical vehicle charging. The results provide insights for using integrated infrastructures to save energy and improve quality of life in cities.
