Script Writing Career Path Inspiration
1. Script Writing
Firstly, one of the career paths I have been thinking of delving
further into is script writing. My main sources of inspiration in
regards to script writing are the Russo Brothers (Anthony Russo
and Joseph Russo) who have screen written and directed
several films including the highly acclaimed (and one of my
favourite movies ever) Avengers: Infinity War along with
several other projects including Avengers: Endgame, Extraction,
Captain America: Winter soldier, Captain America: Civil War
along with so many more however they are some of my
favourite projects they have produced and screen written. The
reason the Russo Brothers are a big source of inspiration for
screen writing is due to there amazing story telling and
character development in the movies. Due to this, Script
writing along with potentially directing or producing movies are
areas of media I can delve into.
2. Script Writing
Along with the Russo Brothers, James Gunn is another huge source of
inspiration in regards to script writing as his story telling is something I
aspire to be as good at one day as his most popular trilogy of movies
(Guardians of the Galaxy) told some of the most heart-breaking, tear jerking
stories yet still manage to make it funny without it taking away from the
overall story. James Gunn's style is a major inspiration for me as that is the
type of movies or TV shows I would love to make.
3. Acting
Furthermore, acting is another potential area I would love to delve into as acting has
been one of my main passions for a majority of my life. There are two actors who are
my source of inspiration in regards to acting which are Chris Hemsworth and Ryan
Reynolds. This is due to there ability to be anything from a super serious role to a
comedic role (which they both excel at.) Chris Hemsworth's arguable best acting
performances are in Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame
as these three movies not only told a beautifully written story of Thor (who Chris
Hemsworth plays) it also shows his versatility as an actor which is something I would
love to be able to do. In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor was more of a comedic character who
wasn't all that serious however due to the general tone of the movie, it worked to
perfection and allowed Thor to be a compelling character along with foreshadowing
the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War. In Avengers: Infinity War Chris
Hemsworth's Thor was a lot more serious and gut wrenching as the villain of the
movie (Thanos) had taken away nearly everything that Thor loved and cared about
(his brother, best friend and nearly half of his remaining people of his planet.) This
movie showed arguably Chris Hemsworth's best version of a serious character as his
arc continued further in this movie. In Avengers: Endgame, Chris Hemsworth was
able to show a mixture of his comedic and serious acting skills which allowed Thor's
character arc to not only be fulfilling, it also showed the comedic potential that Chris
Hemsworth has.
4. Acting
However, (my personal favourite actor) Ryan Reynolds has managed to
show off his comedic side way more than Chris Hemsworth which can be
seen in movies such as Dead pool and Free Guy which are both highly
acclaimed movies that Ryan Reynolds also helped write, direct and produce
(or do these roles predominantly as seen in Free Guy.) These actors have
inspired me as I would eventually want to be as charismatic as them in
highly acclaimed movies.
