KCTCS Interactive Digital Center A System Initiative since 2007 and ranging back to 2002 to develop and identify innovations and proof of concept projects. An Innovations and Content Creation Center Hosted by Bowling Green Technical College as Lead College. The IDC is self funded with charge to generate additional revenues to support overall KCTCS Mission and be a resource to all KCTCS colleges The IDC is the first System driven center in the US in partnership with EON Reality and the IDC Consortium
3D Visualization Technology – A Journey in Innovation Vision, Risk and a Challenge A few Business Models Technology Advancements New Partners A New Vision A Dynamic Plan
Visualized Learning Innovation driven solutions that engage and immerse learners in the virtual world to shorten the learning cycle.   Interactive Simulation Based Training to support industry and technical training by integrating real time instruction developed from existing client-owned digital assets. Technology solutions that enhance and expand the teaching and learning experience in real time, online or in the virtual world experience.

SYSTEM Vision for Visualization Strategies for Impacting Learning and Workforce  Creation of 16 College Innovation Teams focused on identification of new applications for 3D visualization and virtual reality innovations to improve student engagement Use the System lead Interactive Digital Center to support colleges and workforce development applications with custom content creation services, research and leadership Support and Develop Capacity for  the KCTCS Online and related online initiatives to integrate and apply leading edge 3D visualization technologies for online learning The KCTCS Interactive Digital Center as an international leader with content creation and applications of 3D visualization to support our mission to identify and generate content and cost recovery for KCTCS Create an innovations lab at the System Office to engage interested faculty with hands-on training and development opportunities.
KCTCS Innovation in Education Summit Three Days to Solve the Problems of the Education World – Well not Really but it is………. A real opportunity to collaborate with peers from all KCTCS Colleges An opportunity to research new options to enhance and improve our system A relaxed environment to explore, consider, provide leadership and input on future uses of technology A means to examine current practices and think collaboratively on improving student engagement A opportunity to think about factors outside of our environment that may impact what we do and how we do it. A way to expand upon the original vision and expand applications of visualization technology and other innovations

  1. World Economy – Not only is the world flat but so is the economy at the moment. What comes out of the other side of this recession will ultimately impact education.Technology-emerging technologies in energy, health care and science will continue to change workplace and education environments.Workplace –emerging occupations and the ultimate “boomer” retirement will be a factor for a renewed training focus.Education Systems – Shrinking budgets, new learners and new occupations. The educational environment is changing.
