Ingeniux Website Translation Case Study
1. HOW INGENIUX + VENGA
INTEGRATION MADE A
FIRST-TIME WEBSITE
TRANSLATION PROJECT
QUICK AND PAINLESS
2. Ingeniux delivers world-class websites and engaging online communities across
web, mobile, and tablet platforms. Major U.S. enterprises, including Workday,
AIG Direct, and GE, trust Ingeniux with their web presence, whether it be via
a content management system (CMS) or through other online tools such as
extranet, intranet, or social media platforms. 2
3. Ingeniux began their global expansion by setting up their first
international office in France. They needed to quickly translate
their corporate website (approximately 20,000 words) into
French within one month’s time. Despite the fact that the Ingeniux
development team had already worked closely to facilitate
translation within the CMS with their end clients, the Ingeniux
marketing team was new to the day-to-day requirements and
challenges of the task.
Ingeniux faced a common scenario for most newly global
enterprises when they tackle website translation for the first
time. Where to even start? How do you prep files? Which files or
content should be sent? Where are those files located? Is there
an automated solution or does it have to be manual cutting and
pasting? Who will review the translated material, in-house or
external reviewers? When do we do in-context review? How do
you make the process efficient and cost effective? How long will it
take?

4. The Venga Solution:
Ingeniux + Venga Integration
4
Venga and Ingeniux had already worked collaboratively on some
of Ingeniux’s clients’ website translation projects. So now that
Ingeniux needed help with their own website translation, they
turned to Venga for ideas on what to do next as well as how to get
all their content translated in less than a month.
Using Ingeniux’s own translation needs as a starting point,
Venga and Ingeniux partnered together to create the Ingeniux +
Venga Integration, which creates a seamless website translation
integration within the Ingeniux CMS. The result takes the pain
and long timelines out of web translation while also simplifying
the process. This integration reduces errors and timelines as well
as increases productivity, speed, continuity, consistency, and
reliability. The results? No back and forth of manual file transfers,
no figuring out which translated files go where.
The Ingeniux + Venga Integration cuts the traditional website
translation process in half, from eight steps to four.

6. The Ingeniux marketing team determined which pages and
content should be translated into French. These content files were
identified and then sent over to Venga within the Ingeniux CMS
platform. Venga had already set up an automated workflow so that
these files went into the TMS (translation management system)
directly. The files were then transferred over to professional French
linguists.
The Ingeniux CMS didn’t require a plugin because the translation
integration was already within the CMS. That meant the translation
process could begin immediately once the files were chosen.
The alternative would have meant exporting files to a desktop
computer, and re-configuring them to a certain file type. Each
page would have to be given an individual name to correspond
to the web page name, which would mean double checking site
architecture and naming conventions. With at least 40 webpages
to be translated, that was time Ingeniux’s team didn’t have to
spare.
Venga had already carefully selected and vetted translators for
matching subject matter expertise. Since the translation team
received the files within seconds of their submission, they could
get down to work right away. They completed the translations
within seven days and then we conducted a quality assurance
(QA) check.

Transfer from the CMS
Step 2: Translation & QA
7. Finalized translated files were automatically sent back to the CMS
for integration into the appropriate pages. No need to manually
copy, paste, and match the translated file to its appropriate
webpage. The CMS handled all the details cleanly and quickly.
With the translated content delivered and on the page, Ingeniux’s
team then verified that each page they wanted had indeed been
translated. They could also preview each translated page in the
CMS. Lastly, they could see if any areas still required translation,
such as images embedded in text and PDF files.
Venga then published all the content on a staging server where
internal Ingeniux employees in France reviewed the translations.
They found the translations to be high quality, with minimal
changes requested. When the client review was completed, voilà,
the site was ready to launch.

Launch

8. Ingeniux’s first corporate website translation went extremely
smoothly. Instead of the traditional eight steps website translation
requires, with our Ingeniux CMS integration we could streamline
the process into four steps. Venga provided translations within
seven days; because of the seamless integration with the Ingeniux
CMS, the French website could be launched within one month.
