INTRODUCTION
In this report you will
learn about
cyberbullying; how it
happens, some
types, how to try and
prevent it, and the
affects.
I HATE
CYBERBULLYIN’.
FIRST FOR THE DIFFERENT TYPES…
➤ Harassment: It involves the bully sending
offensive messages to a person or a group
and is repeated multiple times.
➤ Exclusion: A highly effective tactic that
directly targets a child’s developmental nee
to feel accepted as part of social event.
➤ Flaming: a very insulting interaction
between people over the internet often
involving the use of profanity.
➤ Outing: The public display or forwarding of
personal communications such as text
messages, emails, or instant messaging.
HARASSMENT
➤ Tips to help prevent internet
harassment: Change your passwords
frequently, be cautious about meeting
online acquaintances in person, set up
two email accounts- one for business
and one for other groups, and use a
gender neutral email if you can
choose.
➤ What should you do if someone is
harassing you through social media:
Always think before you post. Block
another user from seeing your profile
(if needed). Avoid retaliating- most
bullies are looking to get a reaction.
EXCLUSION
➤ Exclusion is the deliberate act of
leaving you out.
➤ Exclusion can happen in all of these
ways:
1. You might be excluded from friend’s
parties or activities.
2. Your friends are having online
conversations and tagging other friends
but not you.
3. You don't have a certain social
network and you are deliberately
excluded from conversations because of
this.
FLAMING
➤ What to do about it:
1.Screenshot what you
have been sent to use as
evidence. 2.
Show a close adult and
talk to them about what is
going on. 3.
Ignore the person the
MINUTE the flaming
starts.
IGNORE
FLAMING!
OUTING
➤How it happens:
-someone finds a secret and
sends it to multiple people as a
form of video or image.
-someone betrays a friend and
spreads a rumor which they
know is not true.

and how to
stop it.
