This document provides an introduction to the Business English Foundations II course. The purpose of the course is to continue applying general business English knowledge through conversations and written texts about business topics. Lessons cover communicative functions, sociocultural context, and prior knowledge to strengthen language skills. The course is aimed at an A1.2 language level. Students will use technological tools for self-directed study, individual and group work, chats, and a final project. Guidelines, learning checks, virtual classrooms, forums, tutoring sessions, and an e-portfolio are provided for interaction and assessment. Students are encouraged to commit to a schedule, teamwork, and communication with tutors.
2. PURPOSE
Business English Foundations II
Through this second level, students continue applying the general previous
knowledge in conversations and written texts in which they exchange
information related to business topics. In each lesson, different aspects
are studied: communicative forms and functions, sociocultural context,
review of prior knowledge, interaction management, meaning in context,
and their application is used to strengthen language skills and
systematically lead them to the consolidation of their linguistic
competencies through autonomous learning activities.
