This document outlines an activity for first year Bach students to improve their listening skills through songs. Over the course of five weeks, students will select a song, find the lyrics and biography of the singer, listen to the song daily and read the lyrics, write a summary of the song, and answer questions about the song's meaning, story, video, mood, and their own feelings. Students will complete this activity for five songs total and can submit their work weekly or at the end of the five weeks.

2.  Select a song you like.
 Find out the singer and write a short biography
 Search for the lyrics and copy them.
 Listen to the song every day at least once. Read
the lyrics and try to sing along. (for a week)
 Write a summary of the song.
 Answer the questions on slide 3
 You can do this on paper or on your
computer.
