UBC Imprint is the university’s premiere branding conference
that focuses on personal and corporate branding. Our vision is to educate
attendees on the importance and relevance of branding as it pertains to
their studies and landing their dream job. The annual Imprint Conference,
taking place in February 2017, will bring together both branding concepts
through workshops, keynote speeches, panels and case competitions.
We are very excited for the opportunity to partner with your company in
our largest and most prestigious conference of the year. By incorporating
your company at multiple touch points with UBC Imprint, we are

University of British Columbia’s Imprint
conference integrates both personal and
corporate branding concepts to provide
students with a holistic understanding of
what branding truly means. As UBC’s only
branding focused conference, Imprint attracts
over 200 talented students and more than
100 of Canada’s top branding and marketing
professionals from companies like Google,
L’Oreal, Lululemon, and Starbucks.

Past Keynote Speakers
A few of Imprint’s past keynote speakers have included Mary Yaskowich, VP Strategy & Innovation at
DDB (2015) and Stephane Berube, VP CMO at L’Oreal Canada (2016). Workshop speakers at the 2016
conference included JJ Wilson, Co-founder and Head of Global Brand at Kit and Ace, and Kellie Sawkins,
Director of Digital at Saje Natural Wellness.

6. IMPRINT 2017setting the bars high
We decided to aim high and add new elements to the conference this year
in hopes of maximizing student’s learning experience and making the
conference even more valuable to everyone attending.
This year, the Imprint Conference will take place in February.
A brief look at our itinerary for the day of the conference:
♦ Opening Keynote speaker
♦ 2 Case Competitions
♦ Speed networking session
♦ 8 different workshops for students
♦ 4 panels
♦ 3-course meal
♦ Closing Keynote speaker
During the conference, we will open with a keynote speaker in personal branding to continue the theme
established during Imprint’s pre-conference workshops. Following the keynote, delegates will be invited
to attend their choice of two workshops hosted by industry professionals. Workshops will focus on topics
such as Brand Management, Public Relations, Integrated Brand Strategy, Digital Marketing, Social Media,
Advertising, and more.
New to the conference this year is a panel. Industry professionals will be invited to form a panel where
students can learn more about the industry directly. They will be able to ask the panel a variety of
questions and learn about the different experiences our panel has to better grasp what working in the
industry looks like. We believe this will enable students to obtain valuable knowledge that will aid them
in their future careers.
